Neat. That is a great build. I haven’t really gotten back into playing yet, but I sort of restarted and was going to aim for something like this so I came to the forum to see what builds were around and discovered I may have gone in the wrong direction.

Is what I was looking at doing maybe. 1/3rd the retal damage, but 3x the direct. To be fair, I do really hate pure casters on retaliation builds.
I haven’t really looked at how much wiggle room you have on resistances, but while we ended up in very similar places on devotions, I feel like scarab + crossroads would beat Lion/eel.
I’m really not thrilled with the OA on mine since I’m using assassin’s mark and seal of annihilation. Chauses of Barb would help a lot, and give more direct damage, but that’s a huge loss on retal. Undecided for now, since I still need to finish leveling and check if the one character I didn’t delete has much of the gear I want for this.
I do really prefer near 100% uptime on block, though and absolution hurts my feelings with it’s cooldown vs duration. Your build probably kills things fast enough that it doesn’t matter much, I’d imagine.
You can look into investing points in Crushing Verdict (Judgement) and Fighting Spirit for fixing the OA problem btw.

Main differences are Dread Armor of Azragor to the chest, Honor for the Relic, Colossal Grasp for the gloves, ~200 from Phys to Cunning, and two points directed to Judgment/Heart of Wrath. With all buffs up it gains about ~400 OA but loses ~150 DA, ~400 armour, and ~2.2k health. Still plenty tanky/lazy for my purposes (farming Nemeses/some Crucible).
Wow, Maya – a no pet build. Awesome. I have always wanted to try a hardcore retaliation build. But, after looking at the devotions you chose I was surprised at not seeing Messenger of War. Isn’t that THE most powerful retal devotion in the game?
Original setup was a bit different and used it. But that was before Ret nerf. Since we are focusing on Phys Retal and don’t have much fire RR, messenger won’t make do much good in the current setup.
Yeah, that makes sense. What would you change for a 2 player situation – i.e. the wifey and I doing this build. War Cry and Field Command obviously should not be done by both of us given those are party wide. Any devotion changes you would do if both players are doing this set up? i used a merit and powerleveled to 100 did all the skill quest except for 3 that remains but i have 7 to battle cry and break morale can gdstash fuck up my char skill points is there something i am missing i got all the armour with the same skill stats as your guide so i really dont know i am new so plz help

It only shows the quests for you. You can’t link it for others unlike the build calc. So I would need a screenshot of your checklist page, or just tell me if you are missing anything.
But from your GT link, you still have 3 more skill points to get and also have “Retribution” at 29/12. Get it down to 22/12. Ingame it won’t show you the extra points invested, but you can see it in GrimTools.
