Dual wielding caster weapons?

I am building an Arcanist paired with Nightblade for Veil of Shadow and Pnuematic Burst. I discovered with the modifier for Pnuematic Burst that caster weapons can be dual wielded.

Id like to get the thoughts on others who have tried dual wielding caster weapons to see if its worth doing. Does it provide any significant damage boost? Or would this be used more if I found two very good weapons. Would the lost of the off hand stats counter act the benefits of dual wielding caster weapons?

It depends on your build.
You can make some fun wielding double Decree of Aldritch for full Ele=>Aether conversion.
Or find some weapon with a proc that gives you more than caster’s offhand.

It mostly depends on your character build, yeah. Note that many skills with a %weapon damage component only taken into consideration the damage of the main hand weapon.

The main advantage of dual-wielding caster weapons is doubling weapon effects, everything from stats to conversion to on hit/on being hit effects to activation effects - each weapon’s effect is independent, including associated cooldowns, and will stack.

Looks like not many people are casting with dual casting weapons. I will just continue to try it out.

In terms of non crafted gear I only particularly find it useful with Decree of Aldritch for total conversion of elemental to aether, and 2x warpfire for total conversion of cold to firee. The latter is pretty fun with things like fire shadow strike, burning sky shards, etc Dual grim fate is fun for tons of corpse explosions

You can also craft daggers at the blacksmith that are pure X damage type. Not casters weapons tbh though some might consider them as such. Those are nice to dual wield if you are hard focusing a magic dmg type

Like others have said, dual wielding caster weapons is mostly useful for stacking special effects or damage conversion, which enables some interesting builds. The rest of the time you are more likely to get a useful mix of stats by using weapon + offhand since the weapons rarely offer energy regen or CDR.

You’d consider them caster weapons since they come with a built-in % bonus to your chosen damage type and they have a different affix table than the physical oriented weapons that caters more towards casters.
