[DW Hybrid] Beginner's Phantom Infiltrator

Not only you can do it, but there’s Silver Sentinel set that straight up supports this playstyle

Yeah no kidding right? Dual wield ranged ABB with those bad boys oh my god. Dude, thank you @Stupid_Dragon for posting and explaining this. Gave me a lot of great ideas to experiment with!

Nightfall: reduced % Weapon damage scaling at ultimate ranks to 65% by max ultimate rank and reduced Radius scaling at ultimate ranks to 6.0 by max ultimate rank
how will this affect the capabilities of this build?

No tests was done to measure the exact effect.

I don’t expect the effect to be severe. To begin with, this mostly affects ultimate levels of Nightfall, which were over the top according to more experienced builders. My build doesn’t have much in Nightfall because +Nightfall skillpoints are rather rare.

is it possible to pivot this into dw ranged?

Yes, definitely.

what would be different? i assume the biggest one would be different types of weapons since there aren’t MI’s like the spectral swords right?

As I said in the quote 2x Enforcer pistols.

Plus the Silver Sentinel set Stupid mentioned.

ah sorry, i misread it as you replying to a different comment hah.

thank you!

I tried it out (though around lvl 55), using 2 frigid barrel’s of the relentless north

it was… very underwhelming. without shadowstrike it had no alpha at all really, the damage in general was good but without that big hit it felt anemic otherwise.

how does this fair now in 1.1.7? also is it still current and viable?

I haven’t tested it in 1.1.7 but nothing much changed about it.

I have other rings beside Coven Sky Seal such as Band of Wandering Soul, are they better? and how can I know my stoneplate Greaves’s are better than the Final March

IIRC the only blue ring better than Coven Sky Seal is Seal of Anubar, maybe Nightscorn as well though I didn’t try it.

Final March is there just for some defensive bonuses, so, uh, same as the rest of gear you’ve been using till now?

I’m still in the middle game so i’m not sure if I can farm Anubar yet, can you check it for me please? Here is my char: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/wV1rRyBZ

Checked your GT. Pretty sure you can’t farm Anubar with defenses that bad. Capped resistances, preferably over capped by 25-30 for at least elemental and vitality, as well as 2800+ defensive ability is what I’d expect.

But tbh I just don’t get why you’re so desperate to dodge using Coven Sky Seal. It’s a very good ring and it’s a faction gear piece, so getting it isn’t an issue compared to Anubar.

Hello, after farming for a while I end up with this build but I still getting 1 shot by Morgo or some random things along the way, how can I fix it? Thank you

Honestly I have no idea. With my setup I didn’t try Morgo on Ultimate because I knew it’s asking too much from budget build on hardcore.

But if I am to take a guess you should respec that garbage devotion setup and get mine with Yugol and Bat back. It’s unlikely that you invented that on your own, it’s an obvious all damage crucible speedrun setup to squeeze out extra seconds. If you’re taking setups from experienced crucible speedrunners and place them on character with different gear (most speedrunners just make items in GDStash by the way, and they make a dozen of them and pick ones with best rolls), different environment (Crucible has defensive buffs to offset glassification techniques) and give the build to the less experienced player then it’s predictably getting rekt, no wonder here.

One of the weaknesses of the build is sustain, and my build gets converted to cold Bat proc on Stormbox to help with that, also that setup with Yugol stacks a lot of attack damage converted to health. To prevent oneshots you should find points for Inquisitor Seal somehow. Mind you, this were adjustments I made to make the build consistent for Steps of Torment, which is an even easier dungeon compared to Morgo runs.

Woah thanks a lot, I’ve spent more than 400h on this game and still dont know anything :v
