My Inquisitors is lvl 52 now, i finised base game today and want to begin with AOM. I can´t still not choose what to pick as second class(will my first char)…i don´t want to suck in late game and/or have a char that i don´t like to play actually
I don´t like to much to kite(even i can very good kite), its really tanky enough to play in higher difficulties? And maybe can you put your build ?
I really like to see your build. Can you add it with Grimdawntools ? And maybe even your eq(even when its low level char, i try to understand game mecanics)
I face tank everything exepcr kupacabra in elite act 6, with medium gear (only relic and 2h gun is transfered).
Demolitionost gives you a nice fail safe with blast shield.
Note that I’m heavy fire/chaos so I’m wearing Ulzuin’s set. If you were going to go the router of fire/electric you’d probably want something along the lines of Ultos’ instead (or a mix of gear).
And Like I said, I have a few points in odd places in constellations (like the Revenant), but I just got the Mythic Lifegivers signet from finishing the witches covenant quest series, So i may drop it (was using it for the lifesteal).
And yes, I can facetank “most” the content. It still requires you to pay attention and kite a bit, but I have yet to have a build that doesn’t have to back up and avoid big nasty pools in AoM. But I just hit the sewers with her and so far I can facetank most the large packs and about 75% of the bosses.
offhand note: I was going to put a Seal of the void I had on the gun, but I stuck with devils due to the Seal being better for DW. I hadn’t realized this earlier, but with DW pistol you get the weapon damage bonus from both, whereas with a 2h you only get the one WD bonus. A bit lame, but it is what it is. so i stuck with Devil-touched ammo. I could drop in a seal of blades if i really wanted the ADCtH (gotta make one tho), and then I would be set for lifesteal for sure.
the lifesteal is critical if you don’t have high defenses or a shield. with my buffs up I have 34% phys resist (54 with low life procs). between that and the Inqusitor’s seal and the lifesteal, that’s what allows me to facetank. For the most part. Thing I like about this build is I can kite if needed, and I don’t feel like I’m gimped like I do on my tank or most my melee toons.
Thank you guys! I did yesterday and have lots of fun I´m very suprised : Thats so tanky! Ofcource i have not so much gear and still around 55lvl but it will even better with time
is there any reasoning why most people dont skill chilling rounds?
from the sound and the looks it seems like it always fires 2 projectiles in a row, even so the skill descirption doesnt state it.
so it shouldnt really be a damage loss if it hits twice everytime it procs.
I think for me it boiled down to point placement. not enough points, so I had to put them in places that synergized more with my chosen elemental types (fire/chaos). I just did some testing on a lower level toon, and it looks like it actually shoots a burst of 3 rounds (used a crossbow so it was easier to hear and see the shots). so if it’s 3 rounds at x% weapon damage, thats quite a punch. good single target WPS if your cold.
That being said, I could probably drop in a point to see if it makes a difference (1pt wonder perhaps?) It’s biggest issue is that the damage types conflict with most the damage from the demo line.
I’m leveling a Magehunter atm to see what I can do with the runebinder set, and I’m going to max chilling rounds (or at least enough to hit a threshold), since Runebinder buffs peirce and elemental (and their bleed equivalents). It’s really more a matter of damage types and usefulness. w/o allot of cold and pierce boost, you might as well just throw extra points into flashbang and watch all the mobs wander around in confusion.
But yeah, in a more inquisitor oriented build, its a nice skill. It’s just that firestrike is so dang sweet with a gun. Drool city.
