Wouldn’t it be nice if one could prevent or reduce the active health cost of the Hungering Void by delivering the souls of killed enemies to it. If the void is saturated by souls it doesn’t have to feed on your life. That could be implemeted by adding X% attack damage converted to health. It’s just an idea I came up with while I was wandering through the Blood Grove and sending the members of the Cult of Ch’thon to the void by using the Hungering Void bound to Doom Bolt. What do you think?
With those bumps to health regeneration, I face no regen problems with dying god anymore - as opposed to many patches ago.
I see no necessity in changing DG, but if we had to have it changed, I’d even vote for a bigger health regen penalty on DG, to keep up with the regen buffs across the last patches.
Of course the health regen penalty should be bigger, if one had the opportunity to reduce it by doing damage to enemies. I don’t say, that it’s necessary, it’s more a roleplaying/lore-kind-of-idea.
I support those lore mechanics, like (useless) bleeding dmg on Korba set, etc.
But adding %AdctH to a constellation is quite a major change…
From a lore standpoint, can Ch’thon’s hunger ever be sated? If you took him to an all-you-can-eat restaurant wouldn’t he just keeping loading up his plate and refilling his cup with blood-flavoured coke?
world/universe is made of ch’thon, so if all of it returned he would probably be satisfied, even if maybe still miffed at Empyrion
yugol would not be satiated, as it is nothingness itself and hunger “incarnate”, and no restaurant could serve enough portions
No, I’d say it can’t be sated but you don’t benefit from him all the time as the Hungering Void has a cooldown. So as long as you get buffed by him you could be able to give him something in return instead of your life.
I imagine him walking in a sixties american diner, ordering the coke…
