I’d recommend posting your current build via grimtools link, OP.
I’m not saying the guy is a pushover but I distinctly remember slapping him around on elite with cabalist summoner when I was putting finishing touches on a leveling guide.
And I’m pretty sure I neglected my resistances, had invested in Bonds of Bysmiel per recommendations but had not activated it, and was wearing faction gear and greens/blues. (NOT bragging btw, just very perplexed as to your difficulty with him!)
Without a link to your current setup my only advice would be kite as soon as he drops down, park your summons right on top of him while you hide behind an obstacle nearby, keep your skele support skills topped off, pop out occasionally to hit him with your active skills and re-summon where required.
You should be able to handle him if your aren’t under-leveled.
Gonna bump this thread again to say this whole area (Void) is way overtuned. It’s not only that it’s hard but you have to keep running back all the time when you die. Oh yes you will die till you learn how it works. Those Chthonics swarming and surrounding guarantee that the boss isn’t the only problem here. Just went through this again with my WH (Ultimate) and it is nothing but a grind. Given that you can’t access the rest of the game until you get through it, it should not present this much of a problem. I find it to be the hardest area of the game/story and that does not make sense to me. My opinion for what it’s worth.
Perhaps I was under leveled when I got to him on Elite playing your Skelemancer build. My pets would all die within seconds and he’d burn down re-summons faster than my cool downs. With nothing left to target but me I melted fairly quickly too.
In the end I wound up killing him by way of graveyard rush, just running back death after death until he was whittled away.
Of course, it’s also entirely possible that I was not following an optimal path leveling skills and left myself vulnerable as a result.
