I’ve got 2 quick questions about equipment for a pierce nightblade

I’ve progressed to elite but my weapons are heavly outdated. some random level 30 blue and green swords probably from act 2 veteran. I’m level 57

I’m struggling with the first few areas of elite just due to the fact I can’t kill things quickly. trash mobs take like 5-8 hits to kill per monster. I know this is due to outdated equipment

I have some blue axes that have + 200 DPS on paper but they are slow. should I just use any better weapon? The swords have 30% pierce the axe has only 20 25% and is fast vs very fast on my swords.

And second question where can I farm better items? Should I go back to veteran and farm the final areas? or does better stuff drop from low level mobs on elite?

Edit: Also should I be looking for daggerS? I have only seen them mostly with additional elemental damage but maybe they pierce more? I have no idea how to kit out my build and where to look for the proper items

Those axes might be good - especially if you put a Blessed Whetstone in one. If you want to stick to swords, then craft some random items, but do not farm the first difficulty.

Daggers don’t have pierce damage by default.

Actually farming Dermapteran claw or Slicer not bad idea for pierce builds. Also check Legion carver if you have enough reputation.

OMG thank you guys so much!! blessed whetstone will quadruple my damage output and is soo cheap to make. I have 80 crystals lying around and tonnes of spikes as well. will that add +50% to my piercing ie 30% from the swords will become 80% converted to piercing?

I don’t have rep with the legion I’m a bit screwed. I spared the witch in Fort Akon and am just below respected so I won’t be able to grind rep with bounties.
That sword is sooo good though it’s double the base damage of what I’m using.

I’m actually doing amazingly well right now, finishing up act 1 elite. I got 1 point more in unknown soldier and that constellation is OP. I got the point with 5% attack speed and 3% life leech. I seem to have hit a breakpoint where I’m hitting much faster and that leech is keeping me topped up at 100% nearly all the time except when I take burst damage. I finally reached 50 soldier and put 6 points into Olnerons rage. I’m proccing execution all the time as well so everything melts.

It’s multiplicative. The 30% will become 45%.
