Exalted stash upgrade

Hello everyone!

I think time has come with new players influx and general drop increase that Exalted stashes get some love too !

What I propose is to give them a buff like:
Normal/Veteran: stays the same but after char or area lvl 50 or so you have a chance to get two Epics
Elite: Two epics with a chance for one Legendary
Ultimate: two Legenderies with a chance of Celestial Essence or other rare material

I think this change would bring back a bit more excitement when founding gold stashes and would encourage new players to explore the world more!

What do You Think?
Regards

I disagree.

Legendaries are already raining like hell in the game. In fact, I think loot drops should be slightly toned down.

Yeah that’s part of my point that back in 2016 when I started playing it was really exiting to find one of the chests.

Now they just feel meh.

But we have to remember that with two expansions there a lot of new loot. So if you are starting from zero then you would have farm much longer for the same set or legendary if drop would stay the same.

drop rates have been increased, also directly as a method to compensate for the increased loot pool, Z’s said this a couple of times too

  • All loot tables have been overhauled with 30-60% less items dropping. To compensate, loot quality and iron bits drops have been significantly increased.

drop rate have been … decreased.

But loot quality significantly increased -not sure if thats enough to compensate for loot decrease but seems that on 1.2 during leveling you get more blues, purples and even double rares.

I could be wrong but I think “30-60% less items dropping” refers only to common (non-MI) base items with magic affixes. Those made up the bulk of those lootsplosions from hero bubbles and chests. Less of those trash drops may make it seem like there’s more epic and legendary loot but that’s only relative, not absolute. In my experience (about half a dozen normal/ultimate playthroughs in the past month or two and many more SR runs in the 65-85 range) the drop rates for those tiers haven’t changed much, if at all.
I did notice a slight increase in double rare drops though, which is to be expected since “loot quality has been significantly increased”. So there are less common base items in general, but those that still drop have a much better chance of rolling at least one rare affix. MIs seem to be affected by this as well, I’ve seen less double magics and more double rares.

As for exalted stashes, I think they should be able to drop legendary items on Normal as well. Right now the chance is zero, for new players and those who decide to stay on Normal/Veteran till level 100 (which was advertised as a new feature in 1.2) it’d be nice (as in, exciting and encouraging) if it was like 10-15%.
Maybe Elite and Ultimate could also use a slight quality boost, and I like the idea of dropping extra rare mats.

They just mean 30-60% less item drops occur, so you see less drop than before. What you see is more likely to be of greater quality, double rare, blue or purple.

I feel like loot is OK. Though I don’t bother going out of my way for exalted stashes, they are not particularly worthwhile. Totems are better and can be respawned.

Why not just make exalted stashes have a chance of respawning since they are poor options for loot gain.

you misunderstand both what i said and what that latest changelog meant

A, i’m talking about the global drop rate, easiest example would be if we said originally there was 10 legendaries in the pool the combined drop rate was 5%, expansions added 10 more; but also increased the base drop rate to 10%
^this has happened every time the loot pool got expanded, and then a bit extra too
B, the new changelog pertains to magicks and rares not legendaries or epics, those are separate/different loot tables, and exalted chest tables are also separate from those on top

OK, I think I understand B).
And A) means, you meant to say droprates increased - by adding 2 expansions to the game?

yes, since the legendary item pool got bigger, drop legendary drop rates got increased to compensate for that increased rng of getting XY “specific” legendary
again a poor analogy/example could be that if old pool was 10 items, and we got on avg 1 legend per 10mins, FG increased it to 20 items pool and we now got 2 legend per 10mins of play, combating the extra RNG that way by compensating with higher combined drop rates for legends
^this is a part of why we’re “drowning” in epic/legendary drops these days
(otherwise the expansion increasing the legendary pool would drastically increase the time of obtaining “specific” legendaries a build wanted if base droprate remained the same when item pools got increased so 1:10 vs 1:20 to 2:20 - obv a bit oversimplified)
