Not sure if this is covered in other discussion or in Dev Stream.
I am concerned on the high spirit requirement on caster off-hand in expansion.
Currently, a level 75 caster off-hand requires 714 spirit to equip. I wonder how this number will go up for the level 90-100 items in the expansion.
We all know that it is possible to build a 900+ spirit character, but I doubt if the current game or expansion will encourage to do so.
I hope the discussion will not go into how good/bad Spirit is compared to Physique/ Cunning, even it is kinda relevant to this discussion…
I agree that it could be troublesome if the spirit requirements increase any more. Some of the current high-end items are a bit rough if you aren’t part Arcanist.
That’s important but I’m also concerned about the amount of hp/da that goes down the drain when you have to pump a bunch of spirit to equip your focus. Maybe I just need to farm up more double-rare MIs.
I think including a few sources either through devotion or on armour pieces of “-x% spirit requirement for scepters, daggers or caster off-hands” similar to have there is a node for “-10% cunning required for ranged weapons” on Hawk or a stat for “-15% cunning requirement for melee/ranged weapons” on the Chestguard of Justice, Demonslayer Jacket, Iskandra’s Vestments etc. and in the case of armour, scaling them up a bit (such as 20%) would be a good way of cutting down the amount of Spirit required for combinations that arn’t Arcanist.
