Based on feedback from community players, the drop rate of Bloodbound Totem appears to be extremely low. This is particularly concerning because the item is required in large quantities for crafting Relics and crafted helmets .
Based on player testing, Spent approximately one hour specifically farming the corresponding Bloodbound Heroes and Bosses in the open world and obtained only one Bloodbound Totem . This is not an exaggerated estimate.
Another player tested the 5-Altar system , running four dungeons and obtaining only one Bloodbound Totem . They also farmed 10 Monster Totems in the open world and obtained one additional Bloodbound Totem. In other words, after spending a considerable amount of time and resources farming across different areas, they obtained only two Bloodbound Totems in total.
Considering how heavily Bloodbound Totem is required for crafting Relics and crafted helmets , the current drop rate seems excessively low and may need to be increased.
I get about 1 on average running all the Bloodsworn areas and bosses currently available. Frankly the drop rate is as bad as Wendigo Spirits were back when Ashes of Malmouth released and so the drop rate of Bloodbound Totems needs to badly increased. Because I can get 3-4 of any other crafting mat in the same time. Bar Celestial Lotus’s, which require dedicated nemesi hunting to farm effectively from memory.
nono, GT highlights their low drop rate related if anything
But the game itself goes out to establish and connect the totems to the Bloodbound, yet are the “worst” source of them - it’s straight up part of “quests/lore” for us
we would figure out that hmm compared to just killing random heroes these heroes seems to have item x in their drop pool. Like what we did in Diablo 2 before we got drop calcs etc
i think you’re misunderstanding everything?
it’s not about the source awareness,
it’s about the frequency.
“the enemies specifically related to this resource, is the worst source” - which has nothing to do with GT, and purely based on ingame observation/gameplay “i get fckall actually trying to farm this from the enemies the game tells me they’re connected to” - meanwhile we get more from rando unrelated chests
No different than if Seals were worst obtained from Bloodsworn and chests were the best there, there’s a sorta “disconnect”, which is unrelated to GT and doesnt’ require GT to illuminate.
no, we wouldn’t`?
what part are you missing when i say the game is telling us they are directly related to Bloodbound???
we don’t need GT to get fooled into drawing that connection; if anything GT shows us the reason why we’re being duped “by the game”; low % chance
sometimes? why does it matter/why do i have to bother pressing an extra button in an online post opening, does it somehow make it unclear it’s the first word in said post ?
aaaand bye, i think that’s all we need to cut this nonsense out
no, you don’t; the game establishes this for us… can you please stop ignoring that very basic aspect of the whole darn thing…
meanwhile the game does not go out of its way to establish troves are their source “other” than rng… so it’s directly the reverse of your reasoning… “you wouldn’t even know they dropped from troves except chance”
no ffs
the game outright informs us they are connected
it’s in the very name of the item, and we get 2 quests informing us they’re connected too…
