I found Faldis and made a rift gate so he could go back to Devils Crossing
When I went to Devils Crossing he wasn’t there
I read that you need to do Waking to Misery quest before talking to
him but he isn’t in Devils Crossing
Do I have to do the Waking to Misery quest before he shows up in town?
Also, I didn’t follow him into the rift gate that I created
Was I suppose to?
You know those closed gates you can’t get through in Devil’s Crossing? Once you send Faldis back to town, he spawns behind those gates. To open the gates and get to him, you will have to complete Waking to Misery, after which talking to the guard by the gates will cause the gates to open. You can then talk to Faldis to complete his quest.

Also, for some reason when I go to create a character it doesn’t
show up anymore.
I have to create a character a second time or exit and renter the game for
the character to show up.
It wasn’t doing this before
maybe your rift gate was intercepted by aetherials

Make sure that you have cloud saving turned on or off in both the Steam settings and the ingame Options menu.

So, that’s whats causing the problem?
It may well be. Problem seems to occur if cloud saving is off in one location, but on in the other. They need to match to be able to save properly, whether that’s in the cloud (when switched on) or locally (when cloud is switched off).
