So I was just looking through the Farthest Frontier screens in the gallery, and I noticed something that I actually kind of like. A lot of the game’s visual elements remind me a lot of Grim Dawn’s, as far as structures and outfits. Is this intentional? Is this game meant to give us a glimpse of what the world of Cairn may have been like before the Grim Dawn ripped the world asunder?

No, Farthest Frontier shares nothing with the GD universe.
I mean, the same team designed Cairn, it is inevitable that there may be some similarities.
