Panetti’s Primal Strike Druid
One could also go with Ugdenbog rifle and have very low cooldown on PS and just use Panetti as a debuff skill

Weapon damage for PRM would be nice in this case. And conversion to lightning and onslaught charges…
Yes
Or this glove for leeching
Does the Titan’s Spear have a hidden passive that makes it work with dual-wield passives? There’s another two-hander that also has Shattering Smash boni, and I assume it counts as a shield in FoA?
Storm Spread and Chilling Rounds Runekeeper
Not sure what to use the onslaught stacks on, and no lightning RR on Berserker ![]()
Same but vindi
Vindicator, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator ![]()
If an item gives modifiers to a skill that skill will activate, just as with storm rend and primal strike.
Titan spear you can only use Belgo shears
These are my favorite theory crafts so far:
Chaos SnB Cadence + Doom Bolt Witchblade
Chaos cadence WB has been a thing for a long time, however, with that addition of that shield you can cast suped up DB on top. You could play a Mythical Armaggedon Instead for a total of 54 flat RR on cadence and extra targets but then you miss out on the vit to chaos on DB.
Lightning/Electrocute 2H Savagery Ritualist
Currently, GT is bugged so toggling Reckless Tempest adds to your weapon damage. Savagery has 100% aether, vit, and cold to lighting. Not to mention a huge chunk of your weapon damage is electrocute. With plenty of electrocute sources, im sure the DoT damage will be pretty big.
Cold/Frostburn 2H Ranged Onslaught + RoH Runekeeper
Who needs more than two WPS am i right? You could probably pull some points from main skill of RoH and put them in endless rage for more onslaught stacks. Amatok Grasp’s proc is kinda busted imo and with a 3500 OA youll be procing it pretty often.
Some other builds that piqued my interest An apoclypton + awakened blazseer zealot (7 GoE. Seems good.) and an ice king set reaver. Overall Im super excited for FoA tomorrow.
Cold DW Trickster
Yeah, it has the survivability of tissue paper and a WD made of pillows, but at least that max attack speed is big.
I’m not much of a builder but I want to try out the amulet that makes Reap Spirit wraiths player scaled instead of pet scaled.
I also want to try the Anointed Blade 2h Devastation, but my attempts at making one severely lacked HP to the point where I ditched the whole concept.
Edit: I took the retaliation Warder and switched it into a retaliation Druid with the Aetherthorn shield for 100% block chance/100% recovery I’m excited to see all the targo hammers go crazy.
I’m thinking about a Cold Onslaught/RoS Reaver as a starter. One possibility is the Korba set, something like this. No affixes on the greens and no ascendant affixes - will see what I get. (Apart from the obvious resist holes that need filling, I think attack speed will be a priority on ascendant affixes.)
One feature of a char like this is that it won’t (I think) be practicable to use Lethal Assault, as ABB would keep consuming Onslaught stacks (unless you timed it with exquisite care, which isn’t happening).
I’m interested in this item, to allow a 2 WPS setup. Seems to be a drop from a new Celestial so, hehe, might not be easy to get.
Primal strike health regen conjurer with the changed MI shield
wonky
I wanted to try the Thane build from the first post:
[Thane, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator] (Thane, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator)
So I leveled a Berserker in SSF.
This was the original plan:
[Thane, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator] (Thane, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator)
And this is where the character is right now:
[Thane, Level 98 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator] (Thane, Level 98 (GD 1.3.0.0) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator)
The damage is great.
The defense, however, is not there. All i can do is leech. The character feels extremely squishy. I’ve leveled many SSF characters over the years, and this might be the squishiest one I’ve ever played. I’m not sure if it’s because of the Berserker combination, the available gear, or if the content simply became harder with 1.3.0.
In my opinion, the itemization and overall support for a Berserker shapeshifter just isn’t there yet. It doesn’t feel well put together. You either find gear with +skills but the wrong % damage type, or gear with the correct % damage type but no +skills. The only archetypes that seem properly supported are the new channeling skill, the auto-attacker, or a full Chaos damage setup.
Overall, I’m a bit disappointed with Berserker as a werewolf. I think the biggest addition from this mastery will end up being the Onslaught mechanic, which other builds will benefit from, along with some new item combinations for existing archetypes.
By comparison, many other SSF builds have excellent Monster Infrequent (MI) support. You can plan your entire build around MIs that are easy to farm, making progression feel much smoother.
I honestly agree with this, after few days playing, only some Chaos werewolf feels like it have proper itemisation. Raven is very poorly supported, and i find myself mostly using it as buff for TDM.
Remember this is theorycraft thread.
Make a thread with grimtools about your current char and we will have a look, you mention Berserker but this is a dual-class designed game.
Huh? Thanks.
I already posted both my current character and the planned build.
This was the rough framework:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/VvdPrKmN
And this is my current character:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/VbK1oKQZ
Like I said, the damage is absolutely fine.
The defense, however, is terrible. I’m taking a ton of damage. It’s possible that the game simply became harder with 1.3.
Normally, with pretty much any SSF character that has a few fitting MIs for the build, you could just faceroll the entire campaign.
I meant, this is a theorycraft thread. Not “this is my build now it works like this against this content ideas for improvment etc”
Yes game got harder in 1.3
Until you have tried to “remake” an old SSF char in 1.3 you can not blaim it on the berserker so to say
which bird aar is better? anywhere i can download this build to try it out?
Actually the pierce AAR with Berserker looks promising
Have not yet tried to make a GT for chaos. And no done builds yet for download. But I don’t think that anything will top my physical AAR Battlemage in SR.
ok thanks i think ill give bird aar a try
I would start chaos one. There is item support for leveling it. And when you are finished levelling you can switch to anything.
