So in the old old days when area level scaling were different, you wouldn’t because enemies didnt’ scale high enough to drop lvl 94 legends in vanilla, even if technically not a direct loot table limitation.
This changed in 2 ways tho for normal, one being direct (max) area scaling being increased, - but then you might still not “see” it, because you might not have naturally gotten high enough char level in world map without grind(ex on avg i get lvl 70-75 on full Vet clears). Other being SR being added to teh game with FG, which scaled loot to your char level, also on Normal ofc/for a lvl 100 char on Normal SR

PortProton. Prefer to use it for Windows games. The LG Proton 9.27 works better for old(er)/aging games and engines. For an example, Dragon Age: Origins work even better than on Windows (rarely experience a crash in Denerim).

The amount of detail provided has allayed the slight but growing frustration with the disappointment->anticipation->disappointment cycling over the past year+. Thank you for your explanation, I’m no longer frustrated at all.
Take your time if you need it, better to release later but finished product. I can’t wait to sink once again in this game with new content <3 greets from Poland ^^

What sort of FPS are you getting and at what resolution? How about in bigger fights / monster swarms?
I 100% agree here, there is no game in this genre that stands up at all to Grim Dawn. It is the best game of everything else.

I use the 1710x1112@60fps resolution with all the best settings, and I seem to get all of the fps. I once had some minor lags while fighting in the forgotten god’s dungeon’s last part, but it seems it’s gone. I may have had too many other apps opened, idk.
Anyway the only real problem I get is the starting time. Launching Steam takes maybe 30 seconds and then GD itself takes another 30.
But the game is more than playable, and remember I’m on a MBA, not a MBP.
That isn’t bad at all, especially for that resolution with the best settings. Game launching time IMHO doesn’t really matter, it isn’t something I typically measure or care about because I don’t launch games that often. Only when I am doing development for a game do I care about the launch time since I will have to launch 5000000 times lol

New forum account (its been quite a few years since i logged in to post) because my email account wasn’t recognized… but thats cool no worries, i dont even remember my old handle anyway.
Just wanna say I’m 50 years old (wtf!), been playing crpg games for a long time… Dungeon Master on Amiga, Diablo series on Pentium Win95 thru WinXP then Titan Quest (omg!) … years pass by… Diablo 3 but yeah it sucked… then I stumbled onto Arthur Bruno via a blog or web forum (maybe the old TQ forum when the studio was in limbo) discussing the creation of a new, better ARPG to succeed TQ … and eventually I became an Early Supporter\Backer of Grim Dawn and have been delighted with the game and its expansions.
I admit I haven’t played GD in a few years but you can count on me buying the expansion !
Now excuse me while I start a new character from scratch…

Some years back the old forum software fell victim to a hacker that wanted to prove a point about the old forum software. Crate got the point and rapidly replaced it with a more modern solution.
It doesn’t sound like it bothers you to have the new account but I think it’s possible that if you remember the email account the old one used and have access to it they might possibly still be able to restore it to you. Probably have to dm Zantai I imagine.
