Fangs of Asterkarn Development Update - June 2025

no!
but if there was a slider in the options to adjust both settings i would be all for it.
xp slider from standard 100% down to 10%
and devotion slider which adjusts the cost per node from 1 standard up to maximum where you need every shrine.

You guys need to Optimize the Original Grim Dawn to 4th gen Xbox graphical capabilities, since I’m already experiencing graphical problems w ur current version 1.2.1.5 Grim Dawn game update posthaste and :v:.

Please make damage type changes visible (example: I don’t understand why we don’t see ice spikes when we put points in Harvester of Death). You did this with some expansion items, so I don’t understand why you don’t make an update to make it work on talent trees.

This is truly a very frustrating aspect that Grim Dawn’s customization lacks (nothing more frustrating than wanting a character to cast ice or flames and seeing them cast bones or green lightning…).

bone harvest has no native physical dmg, and FX changes usually only is applied when a skill is converting base dmg, this is pretty uniform throughout

conversely imagine you’re a vitality build or aicd, and aether build, taking the transmuter because 2h dmg bonus, but no dmg penalty for your build; you’re now casting ice harvest despite it not converting any of your dmg types to ice

There is an ice effect when you enable Harvester of Death, though maybe a little subtle.
Additionally there’s no useful cold focused item other than Soulrend, which makes it all the more confusing to me!

This is exactly what happens though… :upside_down_face: Except the ice spikes is blue glow.

i don’t see ice spikes? i see thicker/more dense blue tinted smoke fx following the bone spikes ?

but yea i haven’t played with 2h BH in a while only 1h, so forgot transmuter FX would take priority under the new system, i guess that means bye bye coloured harvest for 2h

Yeah no ice spikes, but there’s a blue effect when using the transmuter.

hmm, i just checked my aether conduit, it’s still applying ghastly green  strange, would assume the other “skill tree transmuter takes priority” would apply to BH too, but maybe it’s different because only partial fx and not actually the “main”/bones

edit. and blood knight does red fog still
so whatever slight change HoD adds it’s definitely not overriding other fx changes like other skill’s transmuters does (aegis etc)

Thank you for the update

Hello there. What about achievements, will you expand the list ? As an achievement hunter, I would love that ! Thanks.

Hip hip hurray! Excited for the new content! Sounds awesome! :grinning: I’m glad for the news and agree it’s way better to know something great is coming, then to assume it’s gone and miss out when it’s ready! The original GD was fantastic and each expansion has delivered bigtime! #BOOM!

I think new achievements are most likely as the two expansions the game has put achievements that are related to them iirc on one of their livestreams they announced it

I am more than excited for this to come out, I started playing during the release of the first expansion with my best friend. Him and I were both looking forward to playing it together, unfortunately he passed away last June, I’m sure the new expansion will be well worth the wait.

While I’m hoping for sooner rather than later, that’s just the excitement at the idea of new content to have fun with talking. I appreciate the need for time to do things right so they meet the standards of everyone involved, so I will wait (im)patiently for the expansion whenever it’s ready to be released.

I  Crate Entertainment. Keep up the good work.

P.S.
Please don’t sell out.

Ouch, you probably heard about the sale of Eleventh Hour Games? Well, I don’t see it coming to a good end.

Can’t speak for their finances obviously or what motivated the decision. My understanding is they already had outside funding, so it may not be as big of a change as people think.

We wish them the best.

You never know. Looks like a funding thing mainly. They say they’ll be hiring more people, so might not be a bad thing.

We’ll see how it goes. I don’t play in the LE anyway, so it doesn’t matter to me. Let’s hope this decision (in the long run) doesn’t backfire on them.

Money :grinning:

Start new characters in ultimate. Do it self found. And don’t use leveling builds. Always play your endgame build from level 1.

There’s 3 levels to beating this game: normalcore, hardcore, and hardcore starting in ultimate.

If you start SSF in Ultimate, you finish the campaign around 100. And you typically will have good gear for your build, but not your endgame gear. So there are still lots you can do to improve your character.
