When will there be tiers to other buildings, such as smokehouses?
Yeah I have noticed as well. Nice lighting, though! it should change a little more though, which night and day
Same here, after the patch fps drop by 20-25 also with low graphic settings
Wait⌠what? What is so âunexpectedâ in horse meat?
A Pope way back when forbade Christians from eating horsemeat. As far as I know, the English were the only ones who paid any attention to him, so I suppose that means that Farthest Frontier is really set in a semi-fantasy version of Olde England . . .
Much of Europe paid attention. There are exceptions for cases of starvation. We tend not to eat the animals we have as pets or were primary sources of labour.
I would fix horses by having excess be sold for a small amount of gold automatically. And/or introduce an upgrade to the Wagon Shop; the excess Horse becomes an item upgrade thatâs sent to the oldest Wagon Shop without one per Wainwright that lasts a certain distance of travel and increases the cart speed.
That would definitely incentivise me to fully staff the Stable to get the 2 births per year on max. Would also give you something to balance out recruiting Cavalry.
Yet people eat horses until now. Popeâs words do not matter in the game as there are no churches ![]()
More important question is: why there are no potatoes in the game, hmm?
Some people, some of the time, at horses. Some more than others. And the game portrays something like pre-gunpowder middle age Europe.
And like in pre-gunpowder middle age Europe, there arenât potatoes since they came from the Americas and were introduced to Europe after then (mainland America wasnât even seen by a European, other than the brief Scandinavian venture, until 1497)
anyone else having issues with wildlife since recent patch?? ⌠every file i make wolves and bears just wipe out so many villagers its impossible to carry on anymore they are just so relentless and aggressive often appearing out of nowhere thus limiting killing any chance of avoiding them in anyway⌠also for some reason i cant create topics anymore⌠so i cant even make a topic for this issueâŚ
i still want potatoes ![]()
Potatoes did not exist in medieval European times. It is a New World crop that didnât come to Europe until after the Age of Exploration.
This is not medieval Europe, where are the churches? ![]()
As the developers have said several times, the game is not based specifically on a historical time and place. It is, if you will, âEuropeanistic Medievalishâ which means they can include or leave out anything they choose to make a playable game that âfeelsâ Medieval Historicalish but isnât really. For one thing, as stated, the central nature of the Church in Europe is absent, not to mention the over-riding influence of the Aristocracy and its agents which are utterly missing no matter how big and thriving your village/town becomes.
So, you want potatoes, probably have to wait for Modding possibilities in FF. On the other hand, Iâd like Waterwheels to power European Medieval Industry, like (wooden) gear-driven machinery processing hides, cloth, metal, and sawing wood or stone into usable forms so I can start an in-game Mega-Project like a Cathedral, City Hall or (Old) London Bridge . . .
Crate havenât ruled out adding New World veggies at some point in the future.
I thought it would one day be great to have New World Crops in like a New World remixed version of the game - in a series of other regional remixes like Near East/Egypt and East Asia
Potato is as old as any other veggie, please stop calling it new world.
It originates from the Americas. The first potatoes in Europe ever didnât get there til 1536 (was not widely accepted). Didnât get any wide appeal in Europe until the 1600s
Edit: For a point of comparison, Gunpowder was adopted into wide use in Europe over the 1300s, with cannons becoming the mainstay siege weapon by the end of the 14th century, beginning to render the Castle obsolete. This game is obviously based on the time before gunpowder use in Europe.
The potato may be âas oldâ as other veggies, but not for Humans. The earliest potato-like tubers had alkaloids that were poisonous. It took about 2 - 4000 years to breed that out of them to make a useful food crop.
Please stop this Europe nonsense, the game is not Europe - there are no churches ![]()
Potatoes were cultivated by Incas (2000 years old?) and they had no problem with them.
This gameâs setting is officially based on Europe.
What are you gonna demand next? Kangaroos?
