[Cats and Dogs]

  • A new Disable Pests option has been added to New Settlement options, for a relaxed ambient experience without the additional gameplay loop of the DLC.
  • Manually commanding villagers now allow them to shoo groundhogs and foxes.
  • Reduced chance of foxes and groundhogs spawning on all difficulties.
  • Increased Health and Armor for dogs.
  • Dogs now automatically update their assignments when a higher priority structure (ex. doghouse) is built.
  • Fixed an issue with dogs aggroing pests when they are traveling to a destination (ex. doghouse or assigned hunter)
  • Fixed an issue with a missing notification tag for Animals Killed notifications.
  • Fixed an issue where foxes and groundhogs can spawn out of control on Pioneer/Trailblazer difficulty (a result of stacking difficulty modifiers scaling the max pests per group to less than 1, then rounding down to 0, which equals uncapped).
  • Fixed a rare issue where foxes and groundhogs could show up much sooner than intended for existing saves.

“Gandhi preaching peace but using nuclear weapons” strikes again? I needed this laugh today.

Can Herders shoo them away by throwing rocks? I haven’t seen the ‘shooing’ mechanism yet but I just watched a YouTube video which infers Human civilisation started when we threw stones at predators and then developed means to “throw” rocks further and harder by attaching the stones to various sticks. Herder staffs may as well be light spears.
