I get that nemesis beast are suppost to be ultra hard to fight and challenging and so far the others have been… aside from that one! :furious:
Here my opinion why:
That guy hits harder then a wrecking ball even tho my res. are caped and my absobtion is 70% all.
Now that wouldnt even be an issue if it wasnt that this boss constandly hugs your butt and can NOT be slowed down by any means it seems.
Fully upgraded Curse of Frailty & Lv 18 Grasping Veines had NO effect at all on him!
The worst part is, that this keep on when he dies the first time… but suprise!!!
Now you have two of these guys chasing you even tho a bit smaller, still hitting like a truck and sticking to ur butt = you have not time to responde at all… unless you are willing to take hits that are most likely going to kill you or annihilate 90% of ur health…
So the whole “fight” was just a ridiculous kite fest that wasnt fun and not challenging but pure (sorry) BS. Also insert benny hill theme
So what I personally would love to see is make this guy hit a little less hard and make him not 100% resist to slow.
…just ran into that guy again…
Seriously… nerf that OP piece of shit… :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:
He is one tough son of a gun. But after few encounters with my melee character he is not that hard. Time your bursts after his breath (which is telegraphed), while bursting, move to the side if he casts a puddle under you. Can you post your build tho? You cannot tackle him with half-assed build in non-mythical gear.
Not all res. are caped atm but the ones relevant are since I had to switch gear around.
Edit: Even tho I’m Lv. 100 I’m still missing 3 attribute points and 4 skillpoints… do I get these in the DLC?
Cuz I did the quests in devils crossing & hyrpie kill.
I think you need to do the "“Hidden Path” in all difficulties.
Why not use the devotion constellation Kraken? I might be wrong but it seems mandatory for a 2H build.
What is the main skill you use for attack, Devouring Swarm? I don’t see any 2h auto-attack skills like Savagery.
If you can do without other skills like Bloody Pox than you could invest them in Blood of Dreeg with Aspect of the Guardian. The provide OA, heal and good to cap poison resist. So you can use other components. I also see that you don’t have any augments. You can get those at the faction vendors.
You need more OA so that you crit more and by that doing higher damage.
I dont attack, I stack DoT’s. (I’m a Vit/Bleed Caster)
I start with Curse Of Frailty (slow, minus res.) -> Grasping Vines (another slow + 1st DoT; at this point most enemies completely stand still, lol!) -> Bloody Pox (DoT) -> Devouring Swarm (if needed for more DoT dmg. and more -res.)
Suprised I did not take Kraken tbh… at least not the all dmg. points… will see what I can do about that.
About the augments… I’m trying not to use them atm cuz I want to avoid making my items soul bound in case I wanna use them somewhere else later.
His rewards are pretty much the same as the other Nemeses and he’s a much bigger pain in the ass to kill. So why would you want to farm him when you can just farm the older Nemeses?
His pants are the best MI pants in the game nearly hands down so long as you use any of the skills his pants buffs, so compared to the other Nemesis who drop pants, his are above and beyond.
He isn’t that bad to kill tbh. He just isn’t farmable if your build isn’t one of the types that can handle him like a cakewalk. Hint, the reason most people have problems with him is the fact that he does some Lifeleech damage on his breath, which 99% of people are going around at -25% resist to. There are a few solutions that can help nullify his damage output. Utilize some of the gear choices, devotions, and/or Shaman’s Exclusive skill that grants resistance to beast damage, get Lifeleech resist (Either by being one of the builds that natively can get it, such as the Valdur’s set’s 3 piece bonus (100% resist to it) or those boots that give +50% lifeleech resist with a devotion that gives some as well like Vulture or Ulo.
There are problems with this guy, I will admit, but they are not his difficulty, but his spawn locations. He is a nemesis that you will get the rep to be Nemesis with before ultimate, and has many spawns directly in the path to complete many of the quests. Notably, it has already been confirmed that he will be losing all of his indoor spawn locations (Caraxxas cave, Undergrowth, Barrowholm Mines), which will negate some of those issues, and they are also going to make the Beast faction take more rep to hit Nemesis with as well.
