Why is a pistol that has a design of an acid/poison weapon dealing Vitality/Decay damage?
It has the perfect design for poison/acid pistol but it’s dealing Vitality damage, why?
Currently Acid/Poison Pistol builds don’t have legendary support and have to rely on Coven’s Epic Weapon

This one is a much bigger problem than Morguul. This one impacts gameplay.

[spoiler]From what I’ve observed so far with my experience with this pistol it seems the RR on the pistol’s proc is only applied when the enemy has been trapped by it i.e it is similar to OFF

If it’s similar to OFF then it’s useless garbage on bosses. A level 94 mythical item is giving me this joke of a proc? Why? Either change the proc so that RR gets applied to bosses or change the proc into something else entirely. The current proc is nothing but garbage as it doesn’t help me with trash with AoE and the RR is useless on bosses

Naturally a second opinion confirming whether or not the proc applies to bosses would be useful. [/spoiler]

I assume Arcanum Electrollis is similar to the old Devil’s Cage Hauberk proc that also had a small amount of chaos RR. Can’t remember why but it was eventually removed though.

They wanted balancing to be less of a headache so decided to restrict certain things like RR to only certain item slots, it’s similar to how skill mods are you don’t see skill mods on every item slot

yes, that’s why its useless against bosses.

I don’t care if they leave OFF like that anymore but Arcanum Electrollis NEEDS to change. If it was a beginner/starter weapon then I won’t be saying this but it’s a Mythical item so it should be anything besides crap

Arcanum Electrollis’ proc or even the weapon as a whole seems pretty bizarre:

-As Chthon mentioned in the first post, the proc’s root in essence only works on trash mobs and heroes that don’t resist entrapment and even then, only on single enemies.

Maybe it could be useful on groups of 2-5 heroes to hold a few back from swarming you temporarily but that’s about it. With sufficient damage, most heroes don’t last too long and can be kited anyway, or you’ll likely have other more reliable forms of crowd control than the guns at your disposal.

-The weapon lacks % attack speed/casting speed and it’s + bonuses boost Storm Box, Wind Devil and Trozan’s Skyshards indicating it was meant to be used for a Lightning CDR caster.

Currently though, it doesn’t offer a whole lot for that role when compared to other weapons such as Mythical Rune of Elgoloth, Mythical Spark of Ultos or Mythical Trozan’s Starkeeper as examples.

My thoughts on improving it would be to either give the proc a radius (even something small like 3 metres) so it can work on multiple clustered enemies or heroes reliably or change it entirely.
