[Feedback] Can we get more Stun/Trap resist options, please?

After playing in Shattered Realm with all kinds of characters quite a bit I found out that builds that don’t have decent cc-resistance from their masteries/devotion routes or their core items suffer a lot.

Quite a few mastery combos are just screwed: Defilers/Tricksters/Elementalists/Ritualists/Reapers/Cabalists all have to desperately search for extra Stun/Trap resist everywhere in order to farm Shattered Realm often sacrificing their core stats.

My suggestions:

  • Sprinkle Stun/Trap resists in unpopular devotions like Vulture/Tempest/Turttle/Gallows etc. etc.
  • Increase Stun resist value in Empty Throne to 25%
  • Increase crafting bonus to 10-12 Stun Resist. Add 10-12 Trap Resist crafting bonus. Add 10-12 Slow resist crafting bonus.
  • Increase value of Leathery Hide stun resist to 35%
  • Add armor augments that have stun/trap/slow/freeze resist
  • Add stun/trap/freeze resists to sets for classes that don’t have them thru masteries or devotion routes, like Korba/Dreeg/Cyclone/Trozan etc.

As someone who dies to getting trapped followed by meteors to the face, I fully support this. +1

I am fully agree.
The scarcity of cc res especially on necromancer, nightblade, shaman, and occultist mastery really ticked me off.

You mean in Demo ) cause shaman and occultist have some CC resist.

Occultist has only skill disrupt. And yes, I just remembered that shaman has slow res.

Demo doesn’t even have ordinary res… lol.
And no, blast shield doesn’t count.

The most important cc res now is trap, freeze, stun, and slow. Skill disrupt may only affect builds that are using spam skill.

And honestly, I think it’s super cheesy that trap/freeze/stun effects can send your mobility rune into cooldown despite the fact that they weren’t used.

I don’t think that it’s really helps in your petition, but why not.Agree with your OP.

I kind of like how difficult CC resist is to get, it makes the game feel more challenging in an impactful way. It causes you to actually pay more attention to the mobs you are fighting as opposed to just blazing through everything, as often you are just forced to have low CC rez, or freeze rez, etc.

I do like the idea of adding more cc rez to less popular devotions. It is definitely a major downside to builds that don’t build blue-white affinities. Makes you appreciate how amazing Scarab is.
