After playing in Shattered Realm with all kinds of characters quite a bit I found out that builds that don’t have decent cc-resistance from their masteries/devotion routes or their core items suffer a lot.
Quite a few mastery combos are just screwed: Defilers/Tricksters/Elementalists/Ritualists/Reapers/Cabalists all have to desperately search for extra Stun/Trap resist everywhere in order to farm Shattered Realm often sacrificing their core stats.
My suggestions:
Sprinkle Stun/Trap resists in unpopular devotions like Vulture/Tempest/Turttle/Gallows etc. etc.
And honestly, I think it’s super cheesy that trap/freeze/stun effects can send your mobility rune into cooldown despite the fact that they weren’t used.
I kind of like how difficult CC resist is to get, it makes the game feel more challenging in an impactful way. It causes you to actually pay more attention to the mobs you are fighting as opposed to just blazing through everything, as often you are just forced to have low CC rez, or freeze rez, etc.
I do like the idea of adding more cc rez to less popular devotions. It is definitely a major downside to builds that don’t build blue-white affinities. Makes you appreciate how amazing Scarab is.
