feedback on temporary buff skills (dreeg's blood, pneumatic burst, etc.)

now temporary buff skills are only activated for about 30 sec. so you need to use it every time before it runs out.

every user wants it to be on always, not to end in only 30 sec. I personally, made infiltrator and deceiver, and there’re 2 temp buff skills each, that makes me play those characters less than others.
the only solution that I have now is using diablo helper, but I don’t prefer that way.

so, here’s my opinion: there are 2 options.

  1. make those skills activated permanently once you toggle it, and you can use it every cooldown as instant healing effect. this is how diablo 3 permanent buff skills work.

  2. if the first solution is not easy to apply on the game, you can simply expand the activation time to 10-60 min. that way it has almost the same result as the first solution.

I don’t want to add constant effort to put on buff skills pushing it every 15 sec. in addition to my piano skill characters :frowning:
maybe I didn’t see the intention that you made that way, but if there’s no intention to be that way, please make it user-friendly way. so that users don’t have to use diablo helper.

They’re burst heal skills and I frequently use them on specific characters as such.

If you don’t want to press the button just macro it to be automatically triggered, it should take less than 5 minutes to set up something on autohotkey.

I am up for any and all QoL changes. So +1 to making them permanent or increasing their duration to an hour or so. As they are atm, you keep them on pretty much all the time anyways, even if you use the heal situationally.

I think grim dawn users are so used to solve the internal game problem externally. I know how to set up macro, and that’s not my point. why make users use a macro? I just don’t see the point of making it only lasts for 30 sec.

Because if it was permanent you couldn’t get a % Health heal on a cooldown on-demand. Hence why they tend to last long enough (other than Pneumatic Burst) so that refreshing them isn’t the biggest issue.

I haven’t touched macros in GD in about 3.5 years, and Witch Hunter (PB + Blood of Dreeg) is my current main build.

I think it’s reasonable to increase the duration for these skills. I have a habit of activating it too early because I want to make sure my buff is up when I encounter my enemies or am fighting my enemies, which makes it a bit difficult to utilize burst heal effectively a lot of the time. Yes yes, there are icons showing how many seconds are left on your buff so you would know if your buff is still up. But come on, when I am fighting the freaking nemesis, I don’t have the time to keep my eyes on the cooldown timer all the time. I would just be clicking the burst heal/buff whenever the cd is up because again, I want to make sure my buff is always up.

I just think it would be a great improvement if these temporary buff could last a lot longer so I can spend less time checking out the cd timer, and not get so worried all the time about if my temporary buff is still up.

This.

Besides the bonuses they provide, I also enjoy using them as on-demand heals. Get chunked for a quarter of your health by something? Blood of Dreeg and it’s negated.

Making them permanent has been debated many times before and there are people on both sides of the argument for it - there is no way for Crate to please everyone on the matter.

yessss, I want to use burst heal skills when I need to.

I’m not saying to get rid of burst heals. burst heals will work as their cooldown goes and so. just the permanent effect will be put on always.

This has been asked for literally years and devs haven’t budged a bit about it. Pretty much the price to keep the stats (which are a lot and pretty damn strong) of these healing skills is to have to mantain the buff up. Make them permanent and they have to be nerfed because they are better than toggled buffs.

Yeah, it’s a single button press, but it’s something that you have to pay attention to, specially on the hardest fights.

If you mean just increasing the skill’s duration to be absurd (like an hour), then I have no idea why they haven’t changed.

Could be they intend for them to be active-use abilities rather than basically being “toggles with heals”. Would have to hear from a developer like Zantai on the rationale behind the design decision I suppose :stuck_out_tongue:
