Yes and no. I think bleeding builds are “rarer”. But regarding pierce there are maybe 5 viable (and when I say viable, I mean end-game SR 65, crucible 6:30 minimum) pierce builds as of now.

And I used bad english: With “amount” I wanted to ask, how much RR a typical Pierce Build has. 60, 70 %?
I am still thinking how to make a Pierce (foremost)/Bleeding Hybrid with Rancor. Thought about Conjurer with 100 % Vitality to Pierce conversion, but the RR would be about 20+32+25=77 % (if I could squeeze in Revenant).
Again, depends on your choice of builds. Pierce damage really shines when you can get enough stats for it.
Getting 90ish RR for pierce is usually considered “the gold standard.”
When you say hybrid…you mean with equal focus on both damage types?
Equal is never possible.
I am thinking if it is possible to build a Pierce Build with a fair amount of Bleeding (which has a certain impact). Like all my Bleeding Builds have either Piercing or Physical support for ADctH, this build should have a decent DoT via Bleeding.
Both Shaman and Occultist support Vitality. If I could this made to Piercing (and support it with devotions), I might even squeeze in some Bleeding Damage because Vitality/Bleeding Devotions are roughly in the same direction.
You can try. But it’s going to be extremely tough to get decent %pierce damage.

I think the best course of action here will be to make a separate variant of Rancor that supports a spam Pierce build. That way we can tune both independently and remove this gimmicky workaround of the penalty.
