[Feedback] Stormseeker Sapphire - CT

This particular item is very underwhelming for Callidor’s Tempest. I say this cause we have a way to convert Aether to Lightning already and this would also convert our devotions and other skills essentially resulting in much better performance

From conversion POV this isn’t the best one either. Let’s look at something Arcanist related - Aetherbolt it provides us with 100% Fire to Lightning conversion for AAR and it’s very potent for Pure Lightning AAR. Stormseeker’s also gives us something similar in the form of Cold/Lightning AAR. These two provide use very interesting build opportunities.

Now looking at the CT skill mod on Stormseeker amulet it doesn’t really open anything new. If anything it’s a much worse choice than using a mixture of items to provide a similar level of conversion.
Imo the CT modifier needs to be more potent. Add some more Crit damage to CT and Increase CT’s radius and add Fire->Lightning conversion. It won’t make the skill broken, just hear me out. Compensate this stuff by reducing (don’t remove it) the flat bonus skill mod for CT that we have now.
By increasing CT’s single target and AoE power you remove any need for someone to go for Aether -> Lightning conversion and pick Devastation (again).
This adds to build diversity
Or make it Fire->Cold OR pure Cold CT and give us something for TSS + CT builds

Personally I think that the Stormseer Sapphire is fine as it is, but they really should add more options for Fire -> Cold conversion. Because Cold/Lightning CT clearly is what the items wants you to do, but if you look at the conversion options you realize that there basically aren’t any other than the Chillflame Evoker. I might try something like this once I have the basic gear, but I’m not sure it’s really worth the hassle. Probably not.

Your builds looks pretty interesting. Does CT turn blue with this amulet?

My guess is no, it does not. But I can’t tell for sure because I have yet to find one.

Agreed.

the fire damage needs to be converted to either lightning or cold.

converting aether away but leaving the fire damage of the skills makes no sense on a non fire centric amulet.

the modifier’s itself don’t need to be more potent in my opinion, if the conversion applies to the skills fire damage instead of aether.

as for AAR idk the direct added lightning damage could be something entirely else to make it more different from aetherbolt pendant. (reduced energy cost maybe).

the storm touched bonus on that amulet is what confuses me the most as the amulet looks caster oriented for me

Agreed with pretty much everything you stated.
