So, the title. With the release of Voidspire weapon, I tried to make chaos sabo with it and got surprised twice in a row - firstly, by its impressive damage; secondly - with how awful it sustains.
The build I use for now: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/aZqkm0v2
And this is my WH I use too: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/O2GOln62
So, let us compare these two guys.
- What does Sabo have in advantage of WH?
- Higher RR - up to -149% which is huge for chaos and which fully compensates small amount of flat chaos Sabo has;
- Better stats like OA/DA and slow res - for WH I had to use green medal to boost my DA to 2700 at least.
- What does WH have in advantage of Sabo?
- Exclusive skill with %absorb and 100% disrupt resistance
- Twice as much of flat chaos but poor chaos RR;
- BoD - which gives you additional phys res and an opportunity to cap other resists instead of acid;
- Better survivability due to 2 healing abilities and probably due to better flat.
- What actual problems does Sabo have?
- Hard to gather all resists - chaos, aether, acid, pierce. Also no disrupt res which is super-annoying.
- Awful survivability - out of approx. 10 runs in Crucible I never managed to complete 150-170 at least once. The situation is even worse in SR while WH can faceroll SR75-76.
- Lack of skill points so we can’t afford taking BWC for extra aoe and support, e.g
VIDEOS: 2 runs in Crucible, deaths at 160. The best result was achieving 169 and dying in a lag. Nice.
What I actually suggest?
- Voidspire - add +1 to NB, remove mod to Deadly Aim. Change the conversion to FS to 100% ele->chaos. If possible, add sth like 15-18% damage absorb to Flame Touched. Maybe this will help a bit, or, if this is not possible, boost survivability in another way.
- Demonbone Legplates - replace vit res with aether res as gathering vit res is not a problem for chaos builds.
