Here’s my character. Spellbreaker
This was a fresh start. I always play my endgame build from level 1 so skill progression was as follows: max IEE while putting 5 in mastery, 1 Dual Blades, max Pneumatic Burst, 1 Breath of Belgothian, 1 Shadow Strike, max Overload, 1 Maven, max Phantasmal Armor, max Veil of Shadow, max Reckless Power, max Fabric of Reality.
I leveled using Ice Spike until I could get 2 Warden’s Judgements with Wrathstones, then switched to using a basic attack(shadow strike on left click). I got Adept’s Gloves for some AOE. This was a bit slow but it wasn’t bad. I farmed Cronley and Mountain Deeps for an hour or so but decided that getting Blaze Heralds and Widow devotion was much more important. I reached Homestead around level 35. Blaze Heralds took care of my AOE and RR problems, and it was all smooth sailing from there.
Right after Loghorrean, I finished the Malkadarr quest line for Deaths Vigil, and got the blueprint for Slaughter as a reward, which is the perfect relic for this character. Gameplay from this point was Shadow Strike into packs and Slaughter away. At some point I added a charge skill from an augment. At first Wayward Souls, but then I switched to Sudden Strikes, which I still use now. My highest damage done so far is about 77k, which was done by Sudden Strikes.
I reached the Coven at about level 55. At that point my character was doing great, so I decided to farm some Magestorm Blaze Heralds. Took 74 runs. I did one extra, so now I have 75 Blaze Heralds in my possesion. While farming, I also practiced how to use movement skills to zoom around effectively.
After I got my weapons, I cleared Malmouth. Then I visited the skeleton key dungeons for Anasteria, as well as the Ancient Grove. Then I cleared Forgotten Gods. And then just a couple hours ago, I cleared the Tomb of the Heretic. And thus I consider Veteran mode to be beaten. I have only done this once before, as an Aether Reaper(blaze heralds again). And on another occasion I came close, but lost a TSS Spellbreaker(with 9-10 sky shard procs) to Magi Tawrot.
Final notes: this character is quite powerful, despite not having a main skill. I’ll probably max Shadow Strike eventually. I was shocked how quickly Korvaak died.
I also want to give a shout out to Devils Crossing Cuirass. I used it as soon as I could buy it, and only recently replaced it with my current armor.
Plan for the future is to run around Veteran until I can roll a Mythical Aetherstorm set. I already rolled the amulet. If anyone knows how to get a lot of cash quickly, let me know.
