Out of curiousity, just how do you even use Sigil of Consumption offensively? Most enemies are so fast they will quickly cross it, so the only thing I found it useful for is for melee characters to stand in it when the enemy gets near, really.
You facetank enemies in melee range and drop Sigils under your feet, obviously. Sigil’s 33% life leech is not just for show, you know…
Okay, that was my assumption too. But then you’d need some strong melee abilities first and Sigil would just be a support attack/defense skill. I have been trying to use it to some effect with a Soldier/Occultist build I abandoned long ago, so I was curious how others used it. Yes the life leech is useful.
Sigil is the main damage source in these builds because you can stack like 6 - 10 (or even more) on top of each other
Do you really need a spammable skill or attack when your Sigil has ~0.7 sec CD? Yes, you can use Acid Purge (Seal of Blight skill) or something, but its damage wont make any major impact, more like it would just disrupt your sigil spamming (thus reducing your DPS). You better just spam sigil off CD, and without capped cast speed it would feel like you’re just using a “normal” spammable skill…
Did not know that overlapping sigils would do damage too. Anyway would feel like a lazy playstyle to just stand in a circle and put down sigils, but whatever. I generally prefer builds that are based on 2-3 skills at least so playing does not become boring.
I think retaliation fire SoC could work well in this combo:
Grimtools: Deceiver Retal FoI/SoC
It looks fairly durable on paper…durable enough to use Fervered Rage frequently. Sadly, many of the items don’t add much in the way of skill points; however they seemed like the best fit for this with nice procs.
Question: Is the Judicator bonus RR applied normally or is it proportional to weapon damage? If proportional then this might need some adjustments to get Elemental storm with perhaps different rings.
Edit: The Judicators RR set bonus is porportional (thanks, Klaspelstanze), so these rings and slightly tweaked dev path are better:
Creeping ring preferred affixes of OA bonus. Or a big flat OA ring like Closed Fist can work (by itself). Juggling the attributes is a bit tight…so that’s something to keep in mind with changes.
proportional to weapon dmg.
