Few days ago i bought that game and it is ok.
Now i want to make new character and build him in right way.
But i’ve read in last few days all about new 1.0.0.8 patch and i can’t decide what character do.
I play always with tank characters in mmo. But as i see shield build will get very strong nerf. And next i want to make poison build with that shield, but it will be too nerfed.
So for now i dont know what to do.
Should i go for character based on Soldier + X or leave it because it will be useless?
Can you help me to choose character that potentialy could do Ultimate content after 1.0.0.8?
Myself i like concepts of DOT builds: witchblade, witch hunter, sorcer.
I think you should just stop reading the forum and play the game. Patches happens about every 3 months, they change stuff, that should not prevent you from making the build you want, especially if you are a new player.
Just play the game and enjoy it!
All builds from 1.0.0.7 should work fine in 1.0.0.8.
Some builds will get nerf/buff but for 100% nothing game-breaking.
Updates are now delivered through a special new light-refraction technology. To download the latest update, you’ll need to carry your computer to the end of the nearest rainbow. You’ll have to venture carefully though. Legend has it that an angry leprechaun is guarding the update.
If this is your first character try making a caster or a ranged character. The game can be pretty tough for a melee character if your resists are not maxed and maxing resists is not easy without pre-stashed gear.
Poison builds will recieve less nerfs, it will be strong post-patch. Just play him “hit and run”, not “in your face” style.
