Hi all,
I am usually not posting, because i find it difficult to be involved in a community, but i am just so happy right now.
Since i begun Grim Dawn i played the game “blind” and most characters on hardcore mode. I lost dozens and dozens of characters, because i used to get lulled into a false sense of security. The majority of fights were somewhat easy at the beginning and i started to lose focus.
But i persevered and i think i beat the final boss of vanilla Grim Dawn on hardcore! Hell yeah!!!
I even survived a few curious adventures to steps of torment, Port Valbury (but backed out, when i saw the gate :D) and to the obsidian throne.
Hopefully i can survive through Malmouth and Fogotten Gods, before switching to Elite.
I know it likely does not really count as an achievement for most of you, but i am too happy to care
finally the sweet taste of victory . . . and madness
the struggle is real
so many lost their lives
in reality there should be more, but i deleted a few to reuse the names
I really like this genre and Grim Dawn is effing awesome, and though i suck at hardcore, i really wanted to try. Maybe i will succeed, keep you informed and little by little become a part of this great community.
Thanks for reading and sorry for bothering you guys with such a big post.
p.s.: Is there skill that creates some kind of physical barrier, that enemy will have to move around or break to get to me? That would be awesome if my “worldwar style” purifier could set up a wall, or dig “trenches”. Maybe as a mod.
p.p.s.: Grim Dawn is my absolute favourite of the genre, but i could not resist and started to play Wolcen. 40 hours in and i am literally an unstoppable tank that breezes through endgame dungeons.
In GD my best character still feels like he is a toddler and i have to watch him every second.
Maybe Wolcen is way to easy, or i suck hard at GD. Probably the last.
Anyway, sorry for wall of text.
Thank you for reading and thank you Create for creating such a great game.
