I just finished my first run through of Fangs of Asterkarn! I played on Normal just to have a nice relaxing time with it. Currently I am Respected with the Kurn and Noktukari. I am left with a few questions that neither the wiki nor GrimTools seem to be able to answer.
How do I get into the Bloodbound Bastion? The game will tell me when I enter the area, but the doors are currently impassable. Do I need to be of a higher reputation with the Kurn than I am to access a quest?
How do I acquire Soul Fragments and Soul Echoes? I need some to ascend an armor piece and have so far only found one Soul Echo. I did manage to select the Ashes of Awakening to make them appear via the Altar of Ascension, but the game doesn’t exactly explain where or how. I believe I may have gotten one from a boss enemy, but I’ve killed a few more since and got nothing.
How do I select more than one item on the Altar of Ascension? At present time I only have one thing, an Ashes of Awakening, but there are five slots total for items. Does it require being a higher reputation?
Do I need to be a higher reputation level to help the relations with the Kurn and Dranghoul? I survived the Trial of Blood and was given a Skeleton Key, so I assume there’s a challenge dungeon involved at some point, but at the moment there’s nothing for me to do.
What is the Sylvarrian Resin used for? Neither the wiki nor GrimTools explain.

No, you can fully use the Altar at any reputation, but you don’t have a single spare Aether Crystal or Dynamite to also use? There should be a large list of materials for the outer ring tab.
Thanks, and to be clear, when you click on any of the other materials in the list over on the left, nothing happens, they don’t get added clockwise, going around the outer ring of the altar?
Yeah, a wired one. I’ve also experienced this odd effect where there are black squares on the ground in various snowy locations. I assume one of the files is missing maybe? I don’t know much about all that. But it being a bug doesn’t sound too far-fetched to me.
Relaunching after the update fixed the missing textures, and I also figured out why the Altar wasn’t working for me. I didn’t realize that once you select an option and then offer it, that’s the only available boost for your session until you log out and log back in. Everything seems to be in working order. I also found out what the Sylvarrian Resin was used for and I managed to collect more Soul Echoes. My only question now is how to find the blueprint for Soul Fragments. I’m not quite sure how to get it.
