very short post … no one holds 175k proccing burn or even more ( crazy build setup )
but it should be mentioned that if Finia doesnt run full DPS or her timers are on the Run THAT A TANK GETS ATTENTION ( sorry for caps ) a tank needs TAUNT if a DPS doesnt run at full ! so lets say
FIX it pls for the fun … taunt aura for tanks pls
and if you balance full DPS vs Tank running recovery on dps ( yes aggro comes to the platemail guy ) i promise you Diablo 9
has been done already because tanks whould be back
Pretty sure this thread has a 50% goon infiltration rate as of this post.
Anyway I took another look at the post and I think he’s saying that his character is doing boatloads of burn damage and the enemies are going after her and not the tank (presumably another player with a different build). I can’t parse the last two sentences but it looks like he’s asking for a taunt aura skill.
So then, yizzn: a taunt aura wouldn’t really make sense the way the game and (more specifically) the masteries are designed. Multiplayer is more of a side deal in Grim Dawn, and even when you have multiple players it isn’t designed around having traditional MMO roles; it’s kinda like Guild Wars 2 where you supply your own DPS and have your own responsibility to stay alive, with a few buffs you can give to your allies but not a lot else.
That said, the Soldier’s War Cry and Clean Sweep skills will taunt enemies somewhat, as will that shield bash skill you can get from Battered Shells or whatever.
When younger, I also used to do the works. Herbs. Shrooms. Crystals. Diamonds.
THEY JUST TAUNTED ME
Later, got stuck to booze and stayed on point. It comes with age.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Grim Dawn. The mechanics are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the damage types will go over a typical player’s head. There’s also Hangman Jarvis’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The praetorians understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Grim Dawn truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Lokarr’s existential catchphrase “I haven’t saw such a sad display since Ulzuin’s betrayal.,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Zantai’s genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools… how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Grim Dawn tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
