The Flatten Terrain feature does not work properly as seen on picture I tried to get down a Quarry unfortunately I tried every way multiple times to flatten the area shown but it does not go further down and there is no option to raise the other bit so I am stuck. there was no way for me to put the Quarry down in the end and I gave up. I wonder if a support structure system for the buildings would work here if it is just one field down or if we could have a raise option.
The best way to explain the tool is that it is an AVERAGING
tool. high parts come down low parts go up. so going by your pic the quickest way to
get that to work is to select right before the cliff left side then grow to red part in the pic with
the green arrow ie that row. Do not go any further.
Just move the current selection left 1 square/row. then make the right side smaller by 2 row.
The idea is to have 90% of the squares what you want and 10% the stuff to want to change.
So if you do what I just said then the row with green arrow will rise up same height as
the rest in just 1 pass.
if you want to go down then you have some work ahead. you would need to select from the
wall/tower area then 1 row at a time drop. my guess is it would take 5 row drops and about
3 passes on each. So 15 passes.
BTW- the reason it is not going down is because you have more high ground selected
than low ground so it will all go UP on average.
