None. Berserker isn’t a pet mastery though it will have the shapeshifting wolf and raven.
Whether there’ll be any items that give more pets we don’t know.
Given that this is the final DLC, it would have been great if they had provided us with more.
We never might know what might happen.
No idea, if these will be true or player scaled pets ![]()
I think they were Guardians of Empyrion skins weren’t they? I seem to remember that from one of the live streams that Zantai did. Don’t quote me though.
Well, crate is adding other features that was not really needed for their last DLC, yet they do it to make the game better and i can’t see why they would not add more pets to the game for those, like myself who enjoy making pet builds too. It won’t hurt the game nor bother those who don’t like it, since they don’t play it. it’s really a win-win situation.
It’s the last DLC for Grim Dawn, and we won’t ever get this opportunity again so they just might delay the game abit more and ensure this is the best ever DLC for Grim Dawn.
I’m not really a fan of “player scaled pets” or even worse pets based on items. Because now you must farm to acquire those items just to be able to play it, while it was easier to have a skill based pet and play from there as you build, explore and just enjoy the game.
I read somewhere the guardian of empyrion could turn into wolves, but yeah, I’m sensing this is not even possible without having a certain item.
Could be much better to just add a single node (similar like skeletons) in the new mastery to summon 4 wolves to fight along side you, and if you are in werewolf form it gives additional passive boost if you want to play werewolf form etc.
Even if not a pet mastery, it makes sense if there could be such node added. Won’t break the game or bother non-pet players (which most likely will have a word or few to say) again, this topic is for those who love pet build and not for those who don’t play it and giving unwanted opinions.
We can only dream and hope crate is kind hearted and give us this, well, moarrrr…
You clearly are not thinking about this from a developer perspective.
The time spent working on pets is the time not spent working on other things.
So this is definitely not a win-win situation.
A mini werewolf pet would be fun. The icon in your stash could be a pitcher of a full moon. Of course I’d be happy with a mini yeti as well. Oh, the possibilities.
Like they making a new “UI” which is also not needed and many other features, but they do it, because they love their game like we love the game. I see no point in your argument at all
If we choose to play with wolves as pets, let us do so, we have fun and we don’t complain if you play for example primal strike, each to their own.
Would be nice if crate do give us this, but i sense we won’t because they did not share anything and we are nearing release date.
They have said several times that Berserker isn’t a pet mastery. It wouldn’t make sense to put a single-node pet-scaled pet into it.
Oath keeper is also not a pet mastery and still there is a node, soldier is also not a pet mastery, yet there is a node that supports it.
I can continue to inform you about many other aspects about grim dawn, been playing this game for many years and well over 8000 hours.
It’s their last dlc, would be such a shame if we never get such node to allow to summon wolves. I respect their decision if they don’t add it, but me and many other would actually love to have it.
I even asked Zantai during the reveal of FoA if he would please give us wolves to summon as a skill and he said will look into it.
Point is. You can actually make awesome builds if there were a node to summon wolves. When they initially reveal FoA they had plans to execute their ideas, as time progress they started to add more features which wasn’t planned for.
They always give us more, due to their love and passion for the game. So why not just add one feature more wouldn’t harm the game.
Like i previously said. I’m not a big fan of pets based on items and/or player scale. I favorite skill based summons for many reasons, for example when FoA drops, i will start from level 1 and not use my other level 100s to check out the new content.
So if there were items granting such pets, I’m totally fucked and my idea of the build won’t work until i get those items, and getting some items is random too so yeah.
This is amazing news!
At least you get what I’m saying man!
I can see Oathkeeper because of the Guardians, but what in Soldier supports a pet? ![]()
He means buffs that affect allies that these masteries have.
As I’m sure you have noticed in your 8000 hours, that’s a player-scaled pet which you have already said you don’t want. A player-scaled pet can obviously work as a standalone skill - Blade Spirits work just fine, after all.
That’s just how the game works? You need to find items to make your build work.
For soldier you looking at Field Command + Squad Tactics
I use that for a secondary mastery because of the benefits.
