Missing Leeks and for crop you need wheat, rye, buckwheat - they are all grains.
Could also add apple, pear and peach trees from the Arborist.

thanks for input, medea_fleecestealer
Ah just a note not fischerman but fisherman or fish person.
I don’t get the intention of this table but maybe it’s because I’m tied to food and food sources due my day job.
Maybe you should add some lines what’s the purpose of this table.
What confuses me the most is that you mixed nutrients (protein) with biological terms like fruit and vegetables.
The line with grain makes no sense at least game wise: villages don’t eat grains at all, they eat bread only.
Still an information source some will find helpful in some way.
and stuff…
yeah, thanks for your … uhm … input.
the purpose of this table is to know what are food types and where do you get it.
Why is that important anyway, you ask?
well, fulfill demands of the villager is KEY for house upgraded. so you have to know which you need or maybe need more of… although it is a key condition there is no information available. not in game, not in wiki.
for my vegetarian village project I had to know how far I could come without meat (and any animal products).
I did not ment to offend you or the effort you put in the table.
At least for me it was pretty obvious how to get the different food types from just from playing the game. Probably I’m just used to the genre as I remember playing the first settlers game once upon a time It was clearly one of most famous and successful games around that time and it was made by a German team so as a German I had to play it for sure
But still your OP could use some more text to explain your thoughts behind the table.
I’ve read the topic about your vegetarian project and I’m clearly impressed trying and succeeding this task. It clearly shows there are plenty of different ways and approaches to the game for everybody.
and stuff…
You left Milk off the list.
ah, a fellow german grĂĽĂź dich
I understand why asking “what is this needed for?”. I needed this particular information for my vegetarian village experiment only. and I did wonder why there was no information available.
Don’t forget cheese, made at the cheesemaking factory
Just click top left and it will tell you what they are not getting. Easy to figure out what you need to fill in the gaps
Except he’s trying to limit the food types to vegetarian only with no animal products, so he needs to know which food falls under what type in order to get as far as he can.
omg. after 100 hours playtime I finally found the information about food types provided by the game itself (sorry devs, I just didn’t see it)
It’s the statistics button in the upper left corner. If you select the ressources and then the food there are all food types listet with every food in every type.
(EDIT: once I am back home I will insert a screenshot here)
But apples, pears and peaches are just summarizes as fruits, no own items
The game provides all information about food types. 5 food types as shown (sorry, screenshots are in german)
That is some mixed up thinking by the devs about what the basic food types are in real life. Somewhat a reflection of bad dietary education in general. That there are no plant based “Protein sources” is weird, and that Dairy is its own food type is very strange.
(and yes, I see mushrooms there, which are fungi, not plants)
I agree, that are weird food types. But ok for me in a game…
mushrooms are in the vegetable section. beans and pears are there in too (and they do not count as protein).
as long you don’t play vegan or vegetarian it doesn’t matter I guess.
I am happy that the information I was missing so long ARE actually in the game. well done, devs.
no I am curious what comes next.
