The medicinal roots do not even come up on the “gather area” before placing the Forager Shack. I have tried placing them near the medicinal roots anyway but none were pick up by any of the foragers. It kinda limits the healing options I have.

I can see them on the ground but not on the “Foraging sources” view, but it registers every other plant. I have verified their integrity via Steam, do not know if that’s what you mean. Everething is fine by Steam.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing? I assume you are not running mods?
It is like this at every spot with the roots.
It’s possible that medicine root is on terrain u cannot walk to. Sometimes wet areas like that spawn you can’t fully walk into

That spot may have spawned in the water out of reach, which is a separate issue and not specific to medicinal roots.
What about other locations?
