Forgotten Gods Theorycrafting Thread

You mean smash?

Smash is more for the WPS damage. Battlecry is guaranteed and higher amount of RR.

As for exclusive skill: I don’t really know how these skills play until tested…so I’m assuming pure RF is boring. But idk exactly.

What’s FW exactly?
Cold RF + 100% Fire to cold = interesting, indeed.
Good point for the amulet.

sorry yes shattering smash

no Exclusive sounds like serious gimping tbh

I am concerned about it’s ability to survive due’s it’s low heal and DA. compared to my theorycrafted Warlord, which has more than 20k health which is rougly twice as much.

So i am open for suggestions

Yes -smh-you have a point and that’s good advice. I moved some stuff into Divine Mandate to profit off some more %phys and %crit without really impacting anything else. And it allowed for a better boot component.

Grimtools: updated Physical Warlord shieldthrow/RF/retaliation

Forcewave? only think I can think of

Virtue weirdboy shieldbreacker .https://www.grimtools.com/calc/dVbOvXzZ

So I really love oppressor. Dark One Vitality Caster/Melee Hybrid Oppressor:

430% WD Vitality Bone Harvest Blood Knight of doom and fuck vitality builds because I never can reach enough OA on them: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/b28QM8pV

This is why I have no vitality builds…

Fixed for ya https://www.grimtools.com/calc/w263yjpV

Umm, yeah. Damn abbreviations

Well,here it is: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/wV1QRgYV
Fire Forcewave Justicar Warlord. Sound fancy much? Didn’t see it in your compendium, so gave it a go. Surprisingly, it seems like a helluva way to make use of movement skills too, got Vire and Blits with cooldown as a side effect

I like mine better because it has things I really wanted. Was considering Hungering Void but chose more RR instead. If I really wanted more OA etc I’d get them, but anyway, thank you, maybe someone will like yours more.

Not really sure bout this one, but here goes: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2E89qPN
Retaliation hybrid Warder, with % retaliation added to attacks on Savagery, supported by Counter strike. Hybrid because, getting 3 piece Dawnguard set in addition to Dawnbreaker would boost retal fantastically, but OA/DA would be in the dumpster. Retaliation gear doesn’t have much OA to begin with, so you really need to work around that. It would be crazy if it did, as %retal added to attacks that crit often would probably be game breaking.

Build is pretty much starved for points and also it’s a real headache to plan your Devotions around lightning retal, as opposed to physical versions. Pretty much, did this one cause i was all giddy when Norzan confirmed that retal damage added to attacks takes the damage type of the skill used to apply it.

Looks pretty promising!

Q: why Stormcallers over Menhir Bulwark?
Q: Squad tacticts & Raging Tempest @ 13/12?

I kinda want to play that build now tbh

Any idea on what medal augment that might be suitable?

Norzan’s statement made me try this build out. Moreover, Korsar also confirmed in the same thread that WPS is subject to conversion from AA. So i took stormcaller to get as much conversion as possible on %retal to Counter Strike (Savagery is lightning, so no need) and on Zolhan’s too (though, with CS there, probably AoE is fine). But i guess, Bulwark is actually the way to go. I thought about Oleron too, for better OA, but i guess current OA suffices. Was honestly thinking about cheesing things with high crit damage to Savagery on top of % retal to attacks. greedy me :stuck_out_tongue:

Squad tactics is for attack speed, without it, Savagery looks pretty meh. And tempest is for RR. I may have misunderstood, but afaik retal damage is subject to RR as well. That’s why i went for Tempest and i took Widow and 3 points Rhowan’s Crown in Devotions. Here’s the build with Bulwark and rune: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/mN4yXXx2

Feel free to mess around with the build, not sure if this is an optimal setup anyway.

But you get no extra AS from 12/12 to 13/12 squad tacticts
same with raging tempest you dont get more rr from 12/12 to 13/12
You build is hungry for skill points, you need to make sure each one is spent wisely

Ah, i see. I was so focused on the other aspects that i didn’t notice. Thanks for pointing it out. Any idea in what is should place those 2 points? Overguard, maybe?

And another question. Is Soul Harvest affected only by global conversion modifiers, like gladiator belt or Beronath, or by conversion modifiers to BH itself as well? I’m thinking that only the former applies.

@Aldebaran

Here is my take on the same concept

But I used the blue Dawnbreak set pieces and other rings (for more lightning damage, probably need the speed from open/closed mercy stuff)

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/O2GDJvXV

I get a bit more lightning retal this way

If I make this build, I will call her Dawn :stuck_out_tongue: lol

Dawn of Dooooom!!!

Beleieve it or not, this is very similar to the first iteration of the build. I added Azragor for OA and leech, gloves and helm for AS. This version is indeed more inclined towards retal, whereas mine is more of a hybrid. I guess the time i spent examining builds from all the Crucible min-maxers made me unable to cope with anything that has less than 3k OA/DA. Not even getting into the secondary resists balancing. That’s what takes the most effort for me

I’ve been playing around with a similar concept as an Oppressor instead to have all the vitality player scaling pets but I’m afraid your build is forgetting something… dual wielding does not come free. Either your medal or relic needs to change if you want to wield 2 soul bearers (or 2 bonescythes if you want to go the cooldown instead of the weapon damage route).
