Basically, the question is in the title. The UI has just updated. Does it mean smth (well, you know, THAT smth, like date smth :D)?
Yeah, it means the artists have finished the new artwork to update the website pages. 
As for it meaning anything else - from the 18th January stream:
“We’re actually about to push another test build to the playtesting group that’s going to introduce almost all the content that’s in the game with the exception of the final dungeon which we’re still working on, cause you know the final boss is going to take some time.”
medea who got me so hype on that final boss. I dont recall BiG Zentai saying that.
as of the forum UI, I dont see any changes yet. Am I missing something?
Refresh your website page, that did the trick for me. Otherwise clear out your cache and try again.

Well right now steam is showing an update queued for grim dawn…but have no clue what that really means.
I just downloaded it, 190mb update but as I open the game it says v1.0.7.1 (GI v1.72a)
What was that update? D:
Whats so amazing or new about it, other than the changes in button color, logo and background? That hideous twitter block is still there.
An amazing new Home page would be if we wouldn’t have to come to the forums to read news about the game, and have a proper front page that would promote the game even better. But i guess after 10 years that’s still not a valid priority.:rolleyes:
Yes, once again those lazy devs don’t know what they are doing. It’s no wonder their game hasn’t sold at all.

Nobody called them lazy and personally i don’t care what they are. Creating a modern website for an experienced web dev wouldn’t take more than a days work. So it’s definitely not because of the work, but because of choice.
So I am simply stating a fact (10 years) and my personal opinion (not an amazing homepage). The home page is an outdated joke. If you fail to see that, your fanboy hat is narrowing your vision. And by the way, my comment had nothing to do with the game.
