Cold needs love plain and simple. Ice Spike and Greater Ice Spike are horrible. WKM forces you to use a 2H melee weapon (so needs to have this restriction reworked to include Shield) There’s not a single cold based shield in the game.
There’s no converting to cold damage other then from Physical which just exacerbates the lack of a good spammable cold skill.
Ice Spike should be reworked. Get rid of the piercing and make it explode in a 5 meter radius applying a frostburn to all enemies in the explosion radius.
WKM should be reworked to include Shield as an acceptable weapon to use it.
They should add a Cold MI Shield, an epic Cold Shield and a Legendary cold shield to the game.
And they should add some converted to cold items that aren’t physical to cold. This way opening up many more ways to enjoy being a frost mage.
