My character is currently sitting at:
65% Freeze resist
58% Slow resist.
Recently realized, I can use one more crafted version of one of the Legendaries my build uses. That means one more 10-12% roll on either Freeze or Slow resist.
Which would you choose in the current state of the game? Is 65% Freeze safe enough to afford the comfort of boosting Slow?
I usually prioritize freeze res unless I’m playing melee with life leech. What you should prioritize depends on your build I guess, if your movement speed is pretty high and you aren’t relying on casting speed or attack speed too much, get more freeze res. But you should probably fix both if you wanna play FoA on Ascendant, so if you haven’t already done so put a Frozen Heart on a ring and then craft for slow res.
fix slow res first, and pop a freeze res pot for the rest ?
Before FoA i’d have said slow res on anything that was spam attacker/channelled. Post FoA, idono, i legit sometimes feel like even 80 freeze res isn’t enough in certain fights - weirdly enough Moosi has been chilling me quite a lot lately, unsure what changed (mebe his crystals just got more health so get to chain freeze more?)
Well, freeze pot is an option. Though I feel like 65% is exactly at the point of being “just enough, but is it really”?
As for Slow, I don’t really need attack speed and cast speed is more a “nice to have” than necessity. Running a setup “kill zone and kite” character.
So the main concern is movement speed. Some of the bigger movement speed slows would be quite noticeable at the moment. It can be countered with MS overcap, but I’m sitting at 58% slow Resist combined with only 7% overcap. So a 20% slow would already start slowing me down, and there are much stronger slows on some enemies.
Leaning slightly more towards the Slow and bringing it to 68-70 territory. I still don’t have the freeze situation on enemies memorized after FoA, but as far as I know, the main offender is still indeed Moosilauke.
