I get that you could get a late frost in the beginning of spring, or an early frost at the end of autumn, but a few times now i have got frost at the end of spring just as summer is starting. That seems absurd to me, no one could farm in those conditions.
This is why there is often a high suicide rate for farmers. Almost everywhere studies have looked (worldwide). Esp. higher in times of adverse conditions. I am an ex-farmer, and alive. This would not be fun to have in game, but you are right.
I would hope the harder frost patterns are in the harder maps. Lowlands in general has some innate frost protection.
I am playing the Idyllic map on easy settings…to learn how to play.
Yeah, Idyllic as well as that being a lowland map make it sound like that needs toned down. Realistic enough, but an advanced challenge.
I have only played Lowland Lakes. Does the weather not change according to your map type?
I imagine it should, but when you get a crop killing frost at basically the beginning of June it’s hard to know for sure if it is truly balanced properly. If I was in the Alps on hard settings I might expect it but…
Its a good question. I have mostly only played Alpine Maps.
