Hi Farthest Frontier.
the game is so nice. BUTTTTTTTTT everytime there is an new update to the game, everytime all my game saves is gone, and i can begin on a new. its now hoppened to me 3x the last week or 2. thats frustrating.

Are you using cloud saving?
Game updates don’t wipe saves. The game can’t wipe them on its own either.
Make sure Steam’s cloud saves or software such as OneDrive are working correctly for you.
im saving in the game before exit. works intil next update, then all gone
game updates wipe out game saves yes
it is updated via steam so that is your answer. (odds are) that steam is trying to move files if steam cloud is on then update then doesn’t move them back or worse deleted them. or some combo of all of the above etc…
so do you have steam cloud on? or one drive?
There is something different about your setup VS everyone else

look here do you see the save game files?
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\my games\Farthest Frontier\Save
yeah in the save folder my old save is there, but dont show up in the game under load map.
Where do your saves go when you start and save a new game?
interesting. I would love to see your save dir. does it look like this (example)
folder Frostvale_2023087095844
then in side that you get
Frostvale_2023087095844.map
Frostvale.sav
AutoSave 1.sav
AutoSave 2.sav
I doubt FF is losing the path and it is probably semi hard coded.
Would be nice if FF logs showed the path and contents on FF start up
so it could be verified that the right path is being used and that the saves
are in there.
