Well that was strange - out of nowhere a medium garden was destroyed. The rebuild panel said it was destroyed during combat but there hasn’t been a raid/battle for over a year.
At the same time a few other buildings and villagers were displaying their health icons. I was at 6/31 builders with tons of resources and enough labourers. I might be pushing the limits of my laptop now at about 600 population on a large map but I’ve got to 700+ on a medium map before with no problems.
I’ll see what happens when I relaunch the game but wanted to see if anyone had experienced similar. I have searched here and on reddit but couldn’t find anything.
Perhaps some drunk wanted a different kind of shrubbery?
I’ve had villagers killed by intoxicated villagers. I’ve had buildings destroyed by fire when no storms were present.
I’ve never had a building destroyed by combat with no raiders present.
Dieing from combat or destroyed in combat outside of a raid is a result of drunk villagers, as Dunford said. There is cleave damage, and you can see the manor next to the garden is also slightly damaged. So the fight just happened to be next to that garden.
Thanks Kholdy, mystery solved then. I had to look up cleave damage - it must have involved military or hunters then as they’re the only ones with weapons generally. If it happens again I will check on the villagers.
Perhaps it could be labelled something else like ‘street fight’ or ‘villager melee’.
Yes, I only found out about this a couple of weeks ago. Would really like the same for extravagant small plaza as I want to place those in specific patterns.
Yes it would be good to have for plazas, and some other things too, such as wildflowers.
I normally just build a bunch of plazas off to the side of my settlement and then use relocate to move the correct patterns to where I want them. Not ideal but it’s a decent workaround.
