GD Defiler reset quest progress - worth redoing quests?

I was playing around with GD Defiler and messed up. I ended up wiping my character to a level 1 female. I managed to reset the character through the gddbak files that GD Defiler creates, along with all the waypoints that I had discovered. However the problem is all my quests have reset.

I’ve gone into my character folder and tried replacing the worldmap001 file (or some file like that) with my Steam cloud save one but doesn’t seem to help with the quest progression.

So I was thinking. I’m level 43 and was only into the blood grove section of act 3. If I do all the main quests it probably won’t take me too long to reach Homestead. However my question is - are there one time world interactions that would stop me from doing this between act 1 and act 3?

I’m just afraid to spend my time, and getting my hopes up,to hit a wall that I cannot progress because I’ve already done a one time world change. (Unless this has reset too?)

GD Defiler also resets your illusionist unlock.

Happens every time I remove a mastery.

I haven’t bought Ashes of Malmouth yet since this is only my first play through.

there shouldn’t be anything stopping you from getting back to where you were at.
