So, what about diablo 3?
There is a forced mp environment. But it’s mostly sp. And even when playing mp, you’re mostly playing sp together because of trade limitations.
Diablo 3 is more like a case of draconic DRM, which incorporates an always-online element. It doesn’t necessarily means that it’s multiplayer focused, of course, since there is SP, after all.
sorry im late, i hope the steak isnt cold. i hope its rare
i want steak cake and expac
:rolleyes::eek::rolleyes::eek::rolleyes::eek:
tbh i cam here thniking it was going to be about whether they prefer playing it in sp or mp. i play sp btw cos i dont have any friends cos i eat all the steak n cake
When a game can be (and most often is) completely finished solo, and MP is tacked on just to allow people to play with their friends, that is what Single Player Focused IS. That is an objective fact, not a feeling or an opinion. If you feel or opine differently, that is your subjective perspective, but it is clearly stated by the developers that the game is single player focused, with all balancing done to make the single player experience as good as it can be, with a co-op multiplayer (zero pvp) option.
A dev, one of the people who MADE THE GAME literally posted IN THIS THREAD that GD is a single player game with a multiplayer option added in and you can’t seem to get it through your skull.
People are even poking fun of you with the (barely obfuscated) steak posts and you aren’t hopping on the clue train.
Just goes to show, some people just can’t be helped.
Error…ID: 10t fault…rebooting…
…starting PUBG in Single Player mode because I believe it to be a single player game and all the other people who keep killing me are all wrong!
Dont know about the game but this thread is definitely multiplayer for everyone except UnknownDude, for him its a single player.
To be fair, I was just having fun and wanted the guy to be maximum comfy and relaxed. I already understood by that point that this debate won’t go anywhere, so masked my further tries under the delicious plate of food. It’s a better topic anyway.
Oh JoV, with mind-blowing experiences again.
So, what about The Elder Scrolls Online (and many other MMO)?
It’s a Massively Multiplayer Online game and can be completely finished solo.
I think i’ve played multiplayer a total of two times since 2013
As Zantai said in another thread re closed servers …
"Not financially viable for a primarily singleplayer game, especially not for one that doesn’t rely on microtransactions to make profits.
Alas, you vastly overestimate how many players actually care about multiplayer in ARPGs, roughly 10% of the audience."
One more week before I can play to this delicious multiplayer game, I can’t wait
Thats a spirit dude, burn them alive!
Perhaps it is my limited english, but I do not understand what you mean XD

Kind of… the MMO bit
Is true that is single player focused. but to be clear, ARPG game are lot more funny if they had an strong multiplayer compound, to trade, make ladders, no hackers or dupers etc.
Grim dawn is a good game, but with strongh multiplayer features can be great.
Also i must say that add closed servers to store chars online to prevent hackers in multiplayer dont force any one to play in multiplayer, so i cant understand some people that complain about if some day they decide to focus a bit on this feature.
Even with its lack of multiplayer focus, I still enjoy playing GD co-op more than I do SP
Multiplayer all the way for me ^^
again, speak for yourself. I never cared about ladder at all and strong MP focus is probably the number one reason I will not even consider a game more so than any other reason.
As to hackers and dupers, being able to is a plus in my book. If I do not want to, I won’t but it is there if I do want to. That is a bonus to me.
You do realize you’re simply trying to present your personal views as facts right? And you’re failing miserably at it?
It’s not even a matter of agreement/disagreement, you have zero stats to back you up and are using ancedotes. So factually speaking you are incorrect. While the numbers presented by the people here isn’t lying, PoE and D3 in peak season show higher numbers than GD but off-season those games are barren when compared to GD
Gd’s main is to deliver a long-lasting single player experience not a shallow short-lived multiplayer experience. Multiplayer is fun but you’re vastly overestimating its importance to the game’s longevity
Like the ladder events for DII are done for but the game still lives on thanks to an impressive single player campaign that is further augmented by mods
Give it up, you are not gonna convince anyone.
Is he still going at it with closed servers? What part of “Crate currently doesn’t have the budget to do it and most likely will not try” didn’t he get?
Does he think closed servers are cheap or just appear out of pure will?
