We will be switching out sites to a new hosting service and they will likely be down for a couple hours this weekend. We don’t expect it will take very long but didn’t want anyone to be surprised if they tried to access the site and found it was offline.

I agree, an early warning is nice but perhaps some small token to make up for this inconvenience. 
Awsome but sucks at the same time. its awsome because you told us. that will make me less sad and wondering why the site is down. it sucks because. well…its grim dawn.

We’re changing services simply because the small, privately-owned company we currently use is shutting down, so we have to move.
What am I supposed to do in that time?!? Go outside? Ergh…

Good web hosting can be hard to find. I was lucky last time I had a site up to do my homework and find a good host. I also had a very good experience when I decided to discontinue service since I didn’t have a need for the site anymore.
Hopefully you have a good host in mind for the future.

Actually, it will be going down for realz in a little while. Should only take an hour or so.
There it went, and now it’s back! I’d guess it was 1 to 2 hours… wasn’t keeping a really close eye on it. Decent estimate, medierra. And congrats on it going smoothly, at least from what I see on this end!
Don’t want to create new thread about this but Crate home page still have that .html file inside it. If someone bookmark Crate website before php page comes, they might not aware of the new site.

I’ve noticed the forum is a little slow lately, probably due to lack of activity and new media on our part. Don’t worry though, we have cool, new things in the works that we hope to unveil soon.
