I just hit Level 100 with my Conjurer. Of course I will finish the story, quests, max reputation and stuff like that, but I’m wondering what the best way to go forward is.
Especially concerning new gear. It’s working kind of, but it’s not that smooth at the moment. I don’t have Crucible DLC (and I propably won’t get it), so whats coming to my mind is going for Ugdenblooms and go to the Mythical/Legendary Vendor. Is that the most efficient thing to do when looking for several items I do not have yet?
There are no friends who are playing this game, so splitfarming(which I read about) is not really an alternative.
Also trading is (yet) not a thing I’m considering.
Anything else I’m missing?
With my Conjurer I was following the youtube guide from Mordecai Mike (Grim Tools Calc: D2pnKMyZ ; edit: it’s Mordecai Mikes Build/Gear)) - at least after Level 50, that I reached way earlier.
Is anything outdated I should know about? I know there are a couple other guides with other set-ups, but are there some skills that lost synergy/power or are not worth maxing out? Right now I still have a different Skill-Setting, because I maxed Hellhound and Briarthorn before. (same skills though)
I got some popular gear options, at least looking in the past or to other guides.
Mythical Will of Bysmiel (+1 Familiar) - I guess that also fits the build, using it a while now
Mythical Black Scourge (Summon Pet on enemy Death) - just dropped, not really working because of mechanics (read about, not sure if it’s worth looking for a point in Doom Bolt for example as I suck at MOBA’s and propably fail at last hits)
Mythical Black Hand of Sanar’Siin (30% Summon Pet when hit) - I’m not sure if I’m getting this right, but it never procced for me, at least I didn’t notice. I thought it would proc when an enemy hits me. Am I getting this wrong? Should I change something to make it work (for the moment?)
As pet Stats are better on Black Scourge I propably will still use the Black Scourge.
GDStash is always an option if you want “efficient”
I don’t like pet builds with physical to elemental conversion, so can’t comment on that since it will be biased.
Not sure if Will of Bysmiel will do you much good here since you haven’t invested in the Familiar itself. The Yeti would probably do you more good than an additional Lightning Strike.
Black Scourge won’t proc reliably. Not worth trying to do so. Unless you want it for the stats it provides.
Sanar’Siin works. It summons those chaos bug like things when you get hit. Maybe you aren’t getting hit enough
I must say, honestly, that build has quite a few mistakes… And you say there’s a YouTube guide to that? Hmm… Anyways, you’ll find much better builds here in these forums.
As for your questions, if you wanna go with lightning dmg then stick to your Spark of Ultos. Black Scorge is decent but not for the proc but for the attack speed, oa and skill bonuses. Will of Bysmiel with maxed familiars is stronger than the yeti but if you don’t play crucible then it’s a matter of taste. Black Hand is rather crap.
Calling it a guide was propably missleading. More like a show-off of his build (developed over a couple month, but the last material is now a couple months old).
In addition I should have been more clear about the (not yet)linked Grim Tools Calc. It shows the items as well as Skills/Devotion this youtuber has. My gear is not even close to that and I don’t believe needed to be shown except the mentioned items. I have the same skills, but more Points on Briarthorn and Hellhound, as mentioned. The Devotion tree is exactly the same.
When there are clear mistakes in that build I definately would like to know which path isn’t worth.
Thanks already for giving me some answers. Trying to work me through to the Vendor in Ultimate and I will invest something.
Not to mess with the concept of not using double Ravens and going for Mogdrogen on a lightning pet build: not maxing main summons for one, using Manticore AND Elemental Storm, not capping Raging Tempest, capping Lightning Strike with just one Raven, investing extra in Hellhound, overcapping Emboldening Presence, Binding Ultos to a one-pointed Raven instead of Wind Devils, not using Overlord’s gloves, weird components, etc.
Nothing at all. I prefer Mogdrogen on Elemental pet builds.
I agree with most of the other stuff though. I’m sure that build will perform adequately as is, but there are a lot of minor things that would improve survivability and increase damage output at little to no cost.
I didn’t wanna comment on the choice of concept just because other concepts might or might not be stronger. Yeti or double Ravens, Mog or Nature’s Guardian, it’s a matter of taste.
But while we’re at it, I think going for NG might be better for lightning pets but I’m not sure. That 40% speed from Mog’s proc is a powerhouse, and Nature’s Guardian got a real ugly nerf in 7.1. Can you still take Widow in that Mog setup (by getting rid of that Manticore for example)? If you can than Mog might indeed be better than NG.
Beastcaller’s + Familiar builds don’t really need Ishtak to survive and Mogdrogen is a lot better offensively, even without Widow. Widow is a pain to use because Arcane Bomb can’t be bound to pets, and IMO it’s not worth adding the extra active skill when you using Mogdrogen since you can make good use of the devotion points elsewhere.
The fastest non-chaos clear I got in 1.0.7.1 was with a Mogdrogen setup clocking 6:00.
