Give us a chance to craft gear with specific affixes

So this came up to me recently as I found gear that had prefixes I like but has bad suffixes, and gear that had suffixes I like but has bad prefixes. I was wondering, it would be nice to have a better chance of getting suffixes and prefixes I like on one piece of gear by combing the pieces of gear. Here are some requirements to make sure that it’s not so exploitable:

  • Only two items can be combined.
  • The two items must have the same base item (e.g. Imperial ring, or Diamond Signet).
  • The two items must have both prefixes and suffixes rolled on to them.

There is still some layers of RNG, but it’s more controllable. And since both items need prefixes and suffixes, this prevents the system from being the only form of crafting used to get non-epic/non-legendary gear.

I must say I would want this just so badly. I have been farming for Dermapteron Claws for insane amount of hours now but cant seem to get what I want.

So if I understand properly, the resulting items picks its affix from the two merged items? in a pool of suffix1/suffix2/prefix1/prefix2?
