Global damage conversions listed as skill damage conversions

i mean, we’ve already mentioned the “tricks” several times, and like i said above, it becomes quite easy when you look at it closer

is the conversion to an attack skill? then it’s never global and only to that skill
is the conversion to an attack buff/aura “offensive aura”(offensive towards the enemy ie interacts directly with them), then it’s never global and only to that skill
is the conversion to a regular buff/passive aura, then conversion is always global
it’s really not that hard, if it attacks or is offensive it only applies to that skill directly, regardless if it’s a player attack spell or an attack buff/offensive aura
regular passive = global

Your damage type doesn’t matter in Titan Quest outside of Bleed and Poison for undead because enemies die way too fast in that game for the player to need to invest into a damage type. So builds in Titan Quest are literally just pick your skills, pick items with skill bonuses to them and press those skills. You don’t have to think about conversions, offensive and defensive ability, crit damage and other stats.

Basically toggle passive buffs like Flame Touched conversion mods are global, conversion mods on toggle active buffs like Vindictive Flame and on direct damage skills like Blade Arc are local.

Yes, we might need some tooltip changes to avoid confusion between damaging skills and buffs.
We might also need some tooltip improvement for WPS skills, because WPS damage itself isnt the only factor that defines its usefullness. For example, Chilling Round might have less %Weapon Damage than Bursting Round, but DPS-wise, Chiling Rounds WPS is stronger because it lauches 2 shots (effectively doubling its damage), while Bursting Round launches only a single one. And Shadowflame (M. Shadowflame Mantle WPS) launches 3 shots. But none of the tooltips states how many shots exactly are launched by said WPS, despite being a critical factor of its usefullness. Same could be said about melee WPS too.

I would recommend you to read the discussion under the chart, it is even more explanatory…
