I have been trying to theorycraft a vitality based Archon built around Guardian of Empyrion, Storm Totem, and Devouring Swarm.

I guess my question is on which to put primary focus on between Guardian and Totem? I have the build currently set with capped Guardian and being able to summon 4 of them. If their damage is junk and they are nothing more than distractions, I wonder if it would be better to try to cap Storm Totem instead and just stick with 2 Guardians.

This second version that focuses on the Storm Totem seems less streamlined. Itemization seems worse because most Storm Totem gear is lightning focused. Damage does look like it would be better though.
Any thoughts on how to optimize a build like this?
