I have never had such a big plus in gold?almost 700 ??? it will be a big problem to spend it.
I have a fully staffed gold mine with a dedicated foundry, maybe it should be called a mint? I have four Market Gardens, I no longer need to use Gildar’s Coin Purse in the Temple, I can also keep my towers going continuously ( though I don’t, at the beginning of the third year after a raid I man the towers again.)

But yes, there’s a massive lack of gold sinks in the late game. Little need to buy things from the trader generally (except KP books, but they’re rare). Monuments are a big one-off cost but, if you keep playing past that, it’s not a factor. Defence is the big one, but demobilising most of your army between raids effectively solves that.
IMO, being able to spend gold to buy attract immigrants in the late game would be fun. Or policies that cost gold but give you more entertainment or spirituality points (because it’s physically impossible to get those to 100% after year 60 or so using high tier housing).
