When I transfer gold from trading post to gold vault and even storage my gold disappears. For example I had 257 gold and trasferred 10 to test. The 257 gold disappeared and was replaced with 10 gold. I have a gold vault. I selected it and deselected storage. I’ve also tried deselecting gold vault and selecting storage. build 9.6e
Hello, another kind of bug appeared with gold. In my case, game say you cannot store gold (not enougth storage and it seem to be the case, even if I have a doubt). What happen? even if I’m in positive in my town (more income than expense) gold disappear until one unit and all activities that requiring gold are stop and people in charge leave their function. (I’m in 9.6 version).

Did you have unpaid maintenance for buildings or repairs waiting for gold ingots? If you have all gold in the trading post then move some back to town storage, I often see an immediate outflow for building maintenance and maintenance/repairs that were waiting for gold to be available.
The only time I’ve seen that “not enough gold ingot storage” message was during a relocation of my vault with gold ingots disabled in my Warehouses.
Do you have a Vault with gold ingot storage enabled when you’re getting this message? Or is it early game before you built a Vault?
I dont believe so. I started leaving the gold in the trading post so i wouldnt use too much of it. I literally stared at it and watched it drop from 257 to 10. It didnt even go up to 267 then 10. It just vanished. How do i know what building are having maintenance? Repairs for sure i havent seen since im not that far along into the game. Is there a way to see what money has been spent on?
upper right hand corner, you’ll have gold symbol with numbers. that’s how much gold you currently have in storage -this doesn’t account for gold you have in the trade post. the number in parenthesis is your income, which can go in the red. it’s your monthly income. put your cursor over that number and you’ll get a pop up window showing where you gold is going and where it is coming in. it sounds like you are spending more than you are making each month.

So i was able to check today and the gold amount it says im spending is 40. So where is the gold going? A black hole? Lol. I closed the game without saving so im back at 257. I just transfered 351 to test and its displaying 351 transferred but the 257 disappeared.
Has your trading post been stealing it?

It is early in the game, and I do not Have Vault yet.
I don’t quite understand what you are trying to describe. If the number you have in parenthesis is green then you are making money overall that month, if it is red you are spending more than you are making. this number is monthly. if you put your cursor over it, you’ll see where your gold is being spent. in my own list here, income from various sources is 64 gold per month and spending 39 per month, so i’m making 25 gold per month. i have 1122 gold in a storehouse.
I don’t know what you mean by the 257 gold disappeared. you had 257 gold in trade post, transferred 351 from gold vault to trade post, but now trade post says 0 gold?
This will only show the previous month, not months before that. You could have had One time costs before the previous month.
Glad to report that gold is still disappearing in v0.9.7e, as I’ve just been hit by it though in a slightly different way.
Here’s my current expenditures. As you can see I’m currently sitting at 0 gold somehow with positive income.

Funny thing is, there’s a ~1500 difference in those numbers. So where’d the gold go? At the time of noticing the disappearance, I can assure you I was not doing anything regarding gold transfer outside of trading with the travelling merchant. The only different thing that occurred was that only 1 trader showed up that year. If I touch the transfer slider it changes to the amount in my trading post. In addition, the amount of transferrable gold remains the same (3916) if I check to see if I’m still gaining gold (checked for about 3 months).
Something also worth mentioning is that my monthly surplus vanishes at different intervals after acquiring it. The time I gain the monthly income is roughly the same, but the time I lose it varies wildly. My game was about halfway through a year so I reloaded the save and got to see 6 months of this occur. Sometimes I’d lose it before half that month passes. Sometimes I’d lose it at the the end of the month. One time I kept it for a month, only to lose it at the beginning of the next month before I get the next monthly payment.
Example: The time I get monthly revenue. 8th Month
This is when I lost it that month.
Didn’t touch the game. Didn’t interact with anything. Only put it to 3x speed to see if the interaction would continue the rest of the year without waiting too long.
The 3916 transfer in the Trading Post means it’s trying to transfer more than you have (likely cause at some point earlier you had more gold in your settlement but it was spent on construction/maintenance).
This is why your gold is “disappearing”. the Trading Post is gobbling it up as soon as it’s generated and it’s ending up in its storage, which does not count towards the town’s stores.
Ah I see. That was indeed the case for the monthly gold disappearance.
On that note though, could you possibly look into the trading post setting it’s own gold transfer target and transferring gold without player input? I had specifically set out some gold (1k) to use for upgrading building/soft cushion for upkeep as necessary (guard towers/healer house), and while I was out exploring the map with my soldiers I noticed my gold was reduced from 1k to my monthly earnings. The Transfer Gold option showing 9802 (Trading) to 0 (Town Storage). I have just over 6k gold.
